Four Chord September 13&14, back at the ballpark in Washington, PA.

 

Couldn't wait for the summer and the Four Chord. It's a pain in the ass to get to but a fun, quaint little fest.

 

I understand the need for larger venues if the demand calls for it but I’d much rather Turnstile keep playing club shows or at least play multiple dates to keep the experience the same

 

i much preferred the ballpark to the location last year. so much more room to breathe at the ballpark, imo, and the fact that you can sit in the stands and enjoy it is soooo nice too! plus, you didn’t have to worry about all the dirt flying everywhere. i was sooo filthy after four chord last year!

 

Last year was probably the worst festival experience I've ever had. Couldn't breathe right for a few days lol and the rain day 2 was a disaster in that field

 

Yeah the last turnstile album headliner was at Brooklyn bowl in Nashville which was 1500 I think. With incredible support. Obviously they’ve gotten a lot bigger since then but I just don’t see them going from 1k to 30k arenas. The tour will be massive though for sure

 

Arenas aren't 30,000 people!

 

Rumor is Blink headlining Four Chord. If Turnstile revving up this week is true, wouldn’t be surprised to see them there too, but would be weird them not to be on other fall fests, unless there is a bigger tour in the cards.

 

I didn't mind the dirt as much as most people but I definitely preferred the ballpark. By the end of day 1 last year I was just embracing the filth as a unique experience haha.

 

I feel like every pop punk fest has blink rumored

 

Regarding Forest Hills Stadium, maybe I wasn't walking down the right streets. But I lived in Forest Hills for 3 years, only a few blocks from the stadium, and went to 10 shows there. I honestly couldnt hear any music until I was i a stones throw from the entrance. And even then it was pretty faint, and due to the music curfew most shows were wrapped by 9:50. I dont understand the noise complaints. Also the stadium is right around the corner from the strip of bars where all the younger locals go out, so it's not like its normally such a quiet area.

Speaking of, when Turnstile announces their new album/tour I totally expect them to do Forest Hills lol

 

I bet Turnstile does larger auditoriums (or even two nights at them), but no way are they arena ready

 

Just stupid narcs, they did a good job of sound proofing

 

Is Vampire Weekend playing two sets?
They are listed twice, the second one has a sun and a moon next to them.

 

I think that’s the thing that there are homes like literally overlooking the venue….it is my favorite venue to see shows at but I also being a parent of 2 toddlers can understand the complaints….realy hope they work it out as they seem to do each year

 

Chiodos dates being rescheduled til the end of the tour.

 

Turnstile will be playing NFL stadiums during football season
