I wanna hit up the Santa Barbara date of that Flaming Lips/Modest Mouse tour but it’s the night before Oasis in LA. That’d be a rough one to pull off

I randomly saw Chevelle play a free show after a UFC weigh in.. we had no idea this was happening, but they were pretty good

First time I saw Chevelle play was Ozzfest 2002 on the second stage. Was a weird mix of second stage bands including Andrew WK, The Apex Theory, Ill Nino and, uh, Lostprophets. Funny enough I think The Used did the other leg of the tour that I didn't see (replacing Andrew WK).

Home Grown teasing some announcements for tomorrow. Guessing it's a few shows... And it lines up pretty nicely with the Four Chord line-up drop too!

I'm confident they'll find a way to work it out. The majority of the neighborhood supports the venue but, as is the case with these things, there's no reason to be vocal if something that exists happening is something you like/appreciate. It's only people who have a real bone to pick who go through the process of showing up at town council meetings, filing lawsuits, etc. To be fair, if you DO happen to live very close the stadium it is a fairly significant noise disturbance and I do wonder if all day festivals are the best idea for that neighborhood as it's a very quiet residential area of the city.

Have somehow never heard a Chevelle song - confirmed via checking out their top songs on Spotify

I still don't know who it is, ha. Quick glance makes me think it's Parker from TSSF but no idea.

Speaking of Turnstile....they gotta do full blown arenas next time they tour right? I mean, Sleep Token is so....

Yeah, as much as I adore Forest Hills and think these people are annoying, I think it’s pretty reasonable to not want to hear an EDM festival from your apartment for 3 days straight.

It should be a similar vibe as Prospect Park Bandshell (also in a rich quiet area of the city). No all day festivals and, for most shows, keep it to mostly dad/mom rock friendly acts which cut down on teens leaving garbage in the streets, etc.

I don’t think they will do like A-market basketball arenas but if the record does well and with good support, I’d think they’d be doing like amps and small hockey arenas for sure

Any arena floor would be a near instant sell out for turnstile. The challenge would be filling seats, I don't think turnstile has crossed over to that mainstream metal audience that would rather have a seat for a show that sleep token has

Sleep Token is a totally different thing than Turnstile. The two aren't even remotely comparable, TBH. You can listen to like, 30 seconds of some Sleep Token songs and if that were the whole song it could get played on your local KISS station. And that's most of the appeal along with the aesthetic. Turnstile's popularity is a whole mess of things.

That said, when Turnstile drops a new record I could see them doing a relatively "short" run of bigger club shows leading up to the album release that would be guaranteed sellouts. As a way to test the waters, see how that goes, etc.

Whether or not they're able to level up depends on the package they'd be able to put together and how the new album goes.
