My wife has been watching this horrible show on Max called Stuck where it's just people in the ER with different items stuck in the body.

Fast forward to last weekend where I lost an ear plug in the chaos of the Ceremony pit and I was so convinced my ear plug got smashed into my ear because of that damn show.

Catching up on the past couple of pages of discussion:

Of the 100+ shows I've been to, I'd say 30 or more have been solo. I love going to shows alone.

The most I've spent for a ticket was $400 to see blink front row, center barricade and that was worth it no matter what. They're the only band I'd spend over $200 for.

me! I go to shows alone like 80% of the time lol i almost prefer it now. I've been doing it for 12 years. Saw Desmadre, KOYO and Comeback Kid alone just last night!

Yes!!! In Toronto, I highly recommend Kingyo Fisherman’s Market (incredible authentic ramen in a Japanese market). In Niagara Falls, I’d go with AG Inspired, farm to table food and very good.

Niagara Falls is veryyyyyyy tourist-y, if you’ve never been before it’s cool for a few hours but just temper expectations. Def visit the Power Station and Cave of The Winds if possible, the nature based attractions are the winners in NF.

That Furnace Fest line-up is top notch. Impressed with how they keep diversifying and keeping it interesting while sticking to their core (or "the" core, as it were).

I haven't been in YEARS; I grew up near Cleveland so we'd drive up pretty much every summer at least and sometimes winters too. My son opted for Niagara Falls for his spring break, so we're doing a week in Toronto (never been) and taking ViaRail to the falls for a day trip and back. Appreciate the tips, we don't really have any major plans but I plan on Cave Of The Winds for sure (I went as a kid and it was awesome) and probably the incline railway and aquarium.

In Toronto, we're doing the Lion King musical so far and exploring mostly. He's 7 and somewhat adventurous with food (ramen's a fave) so anywhere we can not do chicken fingers and fries for every meal is a win.

I have no kids but the spending going on in this thread is absolutely irresponsible.

Idk I've never bought a single concert ticket that didn't fit into my "fun" budget folder.

We're taking our 7 year old to Warped Tour, so not sure if that makes me responsible or irresponsible. He's into State Champs and Goldfinger.

    You’re making sure he’s cultured.

    That’s responsible.

    We need more of that.

    You’re hired.

I envy all of you solo concert goers, I do it when I have to but I would so much rather have someone with me, to the point where I am often paying for a second ticket lol :'(

I’m going to see refused and quicksand solo next weekend. I typically have just as much fun on my own at a show as I do with someone else

Definitely! I've got a pair of kids Loop plugs and a pair of over the ears. I specifically grabbed VIP to cut down on the crowds so he's not totally overwhelmed.

    The intrusive whisper fascinates me

Personally, I actually enjoy going to shows by myself. The only time it sucks is if I’m trekking up to LA for a show since it’s always more pricier.

It was wild to see how quickly and high my savings account grew in 2020/2021 due to live music being put on pause. The return of concerts plus the 40% price increase on tickets really brought me right back down lol

$410 for a pit resale ticket to Slipknot/Killswitch Engage/Fever 333/Code Orange in fall of 2021. Was my fourth show after the lockdowns. I’m content with what I spent. The pit for Heretic Anthem was top 3 of all pits I’ve ever been in, and I had a lot of expendable income after working at a drug rehab center during COVID.
