that’s another thing I loathe about stadium shows…unless you are on the floor you might as well be in the nosebleeds and if I am in the nosebleeds I am not shelling out 100 dollars or more to go

Every day I'm so thankful I'm immune to feeling obligated to pay $400+ to see these huge pop stars, even if I like their music.

Yeah my personal breaking point is about $300/ticket for anything non-festival. Interesting to see some of these soft stadium dates for Beyonce, particularly if the half the field is resale. Her and her team will still get the bag regardless but it's a little embarrassing from a PR standpoint.

If people think the maps are bad for Beyoncé, just wait until the Dua tour rolls around. Looks like resellers have 30% of each venue listed as resale, that tour will absolutely be a buyers market.

GA Floor is always the trickiest with that. People REALLY hold on to those prices until the last minute which is tough if you don't actually live in the city the show is in.

What can artists do about that at this point? Seems like no matter what this happens to artists like her.

Couldn't agree with this sentiment more and I spent about 20 minutes earlier today trying to convey this very same feeling without sounding like a jerk. LOL

I don't know that they really have to do anything. They get big offers that are brokered by their agents/managers, they'll take them. If they don't think that whoever is offering them that is going to make that money back somehow, they probably don't understand business. If I was a touring act and someone offered me $1MM/show for touring arenas for 2 months I'd be stoked. However, I'd also understand that the cost would be recouped via ticket prices and, very likely, pricey ones at that so either I'd have to lower my fee OR tickets will cost what they cost.

I am waiting until closer to the show to seriously look at tickets for this exact reason lol.

I would pay 200 dollars a ticket for a decent seat and that doesn’t even seem possible for these arena shows. I am priced out. I’ve seen tons of arena shows for well under 100 back in the day and I just ethically can’t pay that much.

Depends on the your. I’ve gotten GA pit for the B-list bands that can play MSG for under $200 (Cage The Elephant, Maggie Rogers, Lord Huron, etc.)

  15. Basically where I’m at too. My ceiling for the Eras tour was going to be $300 (any other tour would be a fair bit lower) and it turned out that wouldn’t come close to getting me in the nosebleeds unless I got really lucky in the presale (which I never did).

What's the most anyone's spent on an individual ticket for a show? I spent $250 to see Dave Chappelle and John Mayer in 2020.

Definetly the Eras Tour, it was $500 on the bleachers with the dumb vip box as those were the only tickets available when I got in. But I waited years to see Taylor so I dont fully regret it.

Non-festival, I think around $100 for Get Up Kids VIP last year. I spent more than that for Wrestlemania several years ago though.

My wife is around $400 each for Beyoncé’s Renaissance Tour, Taylor’s Eras Tour, or Blackpink at Dodger Stadium. Never resale though, she got in on presale for multiple Taylor dates and got great seats for one of them in LA and less great seats for other dates (around $100-125).

  19. I was really drunk and bought me and my sister seats 8 rows from the stage for 600 each to see Justin Timberlake for her birthday. No regrets great show.

I wound up selling them but I paid $650 for a ticket to that 2023 Blink-182 tour.

For a tour I actually attended it was probably ~$350 for the Green Day tour last summer. Worth every penny!

it's the promoters and ticketmaster that would need to cap resale to really do anything, I would love if artists could do in person cheaper seats like they do with Broadway but it would be a zoo lol

$250 for Blink’s 2023 tour, and again $250 for the upcoming Oasis tour.

Those were the only 2 times I spent over $200 for tickets, and probably the last times too. I go to too many concerts to justify making that a regular thing.

    idk man

Around $200 for a pit ticket for Slipknot right before I went to college. Either that or a nosebleed at MSG for Noah Kahan (went with friends to that one), I can't remember exactly how much it was but it was definitely around there.

The only time Ive paid over 100 for a ticket was to see OutKast in Atlanta.

Beyoncé nosebleeds are definitely sub-$50 on Seatgeek for LA.

I retract my answer on paying for tickets, I spent $130 on Oasis. For festivals, its either WWWY or Outsidelands in SF with Elton John headlining.
