With the newest album, I feel like TGI is going for the Sirius XM Octane crowd so this tour makes sense now

 

I know the undercard for Glastobury is alphabetical, but seeing Weezer on the undercard at all feels like a crime. Unless I'm overestimating their draw outside of the US.

 

I mean this in the best way possible... But it's so wild and cool seeing Deftones have this resurgence (in context of them being so high up on the Glastonbury poster). Really well-earned, but surprising to me.

Nice seeing the mallcore bands get a shot at opening the shed gigs this summer.

Amyl and the Sniffers r huge in the UK, sold out their entire UK tour straight away last time they were over here and later in the year they are playing Alexandra Palace in London which is an all standing 10,000 capacity venue!!

Kind of surprised this isn't a co-headliner between Volbeat and Halestorm. Definitely have always thought they were same size.

 

as someone who saw As Tall As Lions' farewell show in LA and thinks about where he is now a few times every week, isn't that wild??! he's a machine

 

I guess he also wrote a jingle for McDonald's and found Olivia by scrolling through Instagram and sending her a DM. It's wild to think he went from playing small club shows to writing for one of the biggest pop stars in the world and even crazier that he did it again with Chappell. Between his success and the nerdy guy from Steel Train having multiple Grammy wins and Producer Of The Year awards, it's just insane where some of these guys turn up.
