A lot of the time you can just walk up to a seat from the lawn anyway.



Though I do kinda miss the days when people would gather a crowd and rush security to get to the front.

 

Lawn tickets are routinely $60-$75 at our amphitheatre now which is absolutely terrible value

 

catch me buying lawn seats when they're part of the live nation $25 all in deals and sneaking up to the 300s throughout the show

 

Plus don’t forget most if not all Live Nation amphitheaters are charging for parking starting this year.

The two here in Florida (Tampa and West Palm) always had free parking (and offered upgraded “premier” parking for $50-100). Starting this year it’s $20/car for standard.

 

General parking has always been included in the ticket price at the amphitheater here, and it's staying that way for this summer.

 

I believe it's like this for Pine Knob here too. I know some venues are implementing that this year though which is NUTS when it already takes forever to get into the lot.

 

That’s the issue with both NW Live Nation amphitheaters. They are both in the suburbs with only one way in/out. Takes forever to get in/out unless a show in terribly undersold. Who wants to spend 2-3 hours getting out of the venue at 11PM and then drive 45 minutes home? The venues themselves are soulless sheds which sucks because they could be taking advantage of the beautiful scenery but instead we are stuck with average venues in the absolute worst areas.

 

Yeah, I always skip the encore to make it out in a reasonable time.

 

I was surprised they didn't charge at West Palm before. Fuck.

 

According to the website for the tinley park venue parking is still included in the ticket

 

As if driving there from the city is not bad enough... If they start charging for parking people will just park in the middle of the field and walk to the venue.

My condolences

 

We have two sheds outside my city. One is your standard McShed in NJ and one at least is an open theater on the ocean. Both are absolute pains in the ass to get to for majority of people attending.

 

Yeah this is pretty much what I do now for most shows. Especially big arena or amphitheater shows

 

The LiveNation ampitheater "near" me is a 45 minute drive without traffic but with traffic it's a solid 60+ minutes. And leaving the venue, even if you skip the encore, is a nightmare. So it's about 90 minutes getting home.

They put seats over 1/2 the lawn a few year back so... You have to watch the screen to see anything. And the sound sucks. Between the commute, cost of drinks/food in the venue, lack of view, and the fact that I find it hard to convince 1-2 people to go to anything with me let alone a whole crew...

Just not worth it for me. But hats off to folks who enjoy it! I'm just not a "vibes" person and that is 100% on me. LOL

 

Tickets on Friday so I'm guessing the Souls will be dropping the line-up sometime between now and then... Always excited to see who they bring out!

 

Also what field? The one where they have seasonal stuff??? Everything is way more developed around here now. There’s also a huge Amazon building on the corner of Harlem and Vollmer and that’s All gated off now

Other than the Citi and Live Nation codes, are there any other presale codes out there for the offspring?
