I sprung for a seat for Summer of Loud because 8 hours is too much for me to stay on lawn lmao

Can Cake just announce a full tour if they’re doing one? This dribbling out of dates is bizarre.

 

I swear half the tours that have been announced this month are hitting the New York area on May 31st

 

Yeah I don’t see Offspring selling out those dates quickly. Wait for a price drop

 

Nah this is pretty usual for them now. They don’t do full tours. Just mini tours, one-offs and festival appearances

 

Bring me tickets were reasonably priced for what I thought they were going to be

 

So angry I can't make this. Too Much is one of the best songs of the year so far

 

I had somehow missed that they released a new single. Holy shit, this song is a beast. I loved their last LP and this is such a logical progression... In the best way.

Related: I, too, am bummed that I can't make the date of this tour when it comes to my general vicinity.

 

Minus The Bear, Jawbreaker and Rilo Kiley are confirmed headlining BFFF. Mineral, Cursive and Pedro The Lion are also playing

 

i havent ever been to a show on the lawn, but that Offspring tour may be a perfect time to do so... I have no desire to see Offspring, so would bounce after JEW and $250 is insane... Any tips/pointers from you lawn creatures out there for a first timer?

 

sadly try and get there at doors, to ensure you get a decent spot or to claim a specific piece of land

 

I would look into the view you'll get from the lawn. Lawn seats at my local ampitheater means you'll literally be watching the entire show from a screen which is generally a non-starter for me as far as what I'm willing to pay for.

But if you do go: Get there early. Check the venue site in advance for rules as to what you can/can't bring and be sure you have what you'll need to be comfortable. Buy food/bevvies early. And... Mentally accept that you'll most just be there for the "vibes" with music as the soundtrack and that the people around you are very likely to talk through the entire thing.
