John // OC now, OH forever.

The crowd reaction whenever they play anything non-Is A Real Boy is largely strong indifference. That album just has an absolute chokehold on their fans.

Yeah I actually thought they were on the "cancelled" list during Metoo.......but then continuously see them touring lol...so not sure if that's just because noone is truly cancelled or if I had lumped them in with others

This show was actually one of the rowdiest pits I had ever been in...I got slammed in the back of my head by a crowd surfer and literally was seeing stars like in the cartoons and my best friend I went with got hit in the face with a cup full of ice that someone in the crowd threw and she had a huge bruise like in the movie Tommy Boy...amazing memories

The band that surprises me that keeps touring like nothing happened is Saves The Day, they cancelled some shows in 2021 because of the allegations against Chris, but that was it.

    The intrusive whisper fascinates me

Jamie posted the poster just now with the Baltimore date included, but doesn’t look like it’s been officially announced by both bands?

Maybe he was too eager. Pretty that Baltimore’s his hometown

Ah so this explains why the Coheed/TBS tour is skipping Jones Beach

Is there a reason Minneapolis is the 3rd Lizzo underplay instead of, like, Chicago, Toronto or Dallas?

    Things have changed.

She's from Minneapolis, hence new man on the Minnesota Vikings.

More flexible in terms of lineup and different fee wise. Instead of doing a split based on total revenue you'd just pay a set fee.

Also headline runs might end up booked entirely by Livenation / AEG but mini "festivals" like that could pitch for X act on off days or outside the tour.

I feel like they'll probably announce it formally next Tuesday. From what I heard, Ken Casey mentioned it at the end of the Dropkick set the other night.

So it's probably "okay" for them to say now... But dropping news like that on Monday/Tuesday of next week would make more sense than on a Friday. Just my guess.

She was born in Michigan but came out of Houston actually.
Minneapolis I think is where she moved to after college iirc?

I'm not going to litigate the difference between where someone was born the place they claim to be from lol

Agreed, but there is a second stage at this particular festival

Can confirm there's an additional stage or two for GSB. I haven't been since before Covid, but I know they usually have a lot of local and smaller performers throughout the course of the weekend on top of the headlining acts for Thursday-Sunday, and there's a lot of local artists and businesses involved too. Definitely more festival vibes than just a show billing itself as one.

Yep, she's not "from" here technically, but we claim her cause she lived here for most of her music career.

If anyone's in Cleveland, TWY posted there were 10 tickets left for their Burst & Decay show. Super tiny venue, should be great.

Fascinating. I saw Turnover there a few years ago and never went back, atmosphere seemed nice. Wonder what happened.

Probably financials given it's an exploding area of Brooklyn. Sad news as it was a good spot.
