I kinda dig that album they did with Spencer Sotelo wouldn’t mind if they did some more stuff together like a guest feature or something.

Also I guess if a band isn’t playing LTL they’re probably playing Riot right?

and when they opened for Soundgarden in LA in 2011, did the same -- 5 Noctourniquet songs out of 7 songs, from an album that wasn't released until the following year. And one of the other two songs was a Marianne Faithfull cover, randomly.

This is probably it honestly. I truly believe Tom never wanted to play again (mainly due to health reasons/aging) but then saw how much they could make for playing 3 times a year and said fuck it.

True, they can fly in the night before.. headline a festival the next day and fly back home afterwards, much easier on Tom than being on a tour bus

Hate to drudge up a tired talking point, but uh that's a bold venue choice for A Static Lullaby

Also self titled and Rattlesnake! are superior albums

I don’t think most people hold that opinion. When that album came out they were as big as Atreyu, from autumn to ashes, killswitch, Norma Jean etc. then faso Latido came out and for the most part everyone thought it was rough and they never recovered

Some people in the Warped Tour thread are reporting that the Offspring tour lineup is The Offspring, NFG, and The Wonder Years/MxPx splitting the opening slot.

nah were just trying to piece together everything that we have all heard but it appears that the reason for the Offspring delayed announcement is they have hit snags in support.

maybe together we have come together and figured it out. But I tend to think that is not the actual lineup and the Offspring support is now totally different.

John // OC now, OH forever.

Maybe the real Offspring tour is the friends we made along the way.

Best Friends Forever Fest is returning this year and is happening Oct 10-12. No word on who’s playing or when it will be announced, but they booked someone that “70% of attendees requested in a survey.”

I genuinely think it's Brand New this time, especially with the Lacey solo show that just sold out.

For sure When We Were Young and Warped Tour asked them, but it just feels obvious that the band members rejected those offers because they don't want to associate with the pop-punk/Hot Topic side of "emo" that they spent their whole careers trying to prove that they were above. I have no doubt in my mind that they feel more at home on a festival that had Sunny Day Real Estate and Capn Jazz headline rather than one that they had My Chemical Romance/Fall Out Boy or whoever the midtier bands that are on this year's Warped are.

All I know is that Brian from BN goes to my friend’s bakery a lot and he said “they have a lot in store” for this year
