    Things have changed.

They've done a TON of opening spots for like, The Offspring, Avril, etc. and the Sum 41 tour was a co-headliner. So I guess so!

They're "technically" correct by saying proper headline tour. They've done co-headliners, opened amphitheaters, festivals, and a 15-Year No Pads Anniversary Tour but technically not a straight up normal headline run in a decade. Definitely not for a lack of touring lol

I had to look it up as well, I guess it depends on how you define a proper headliner.

They "co-headlined" with State Champs in 2019, but I think they closed every night. Looking at Setlist.fm SP played more songs + did an encore, while State Champs didn't, so I don't know if the tour was really a true co-headliner.

They also did a solo US headlining tour in 2017, which I guess is almost a decade ago, if you do some rounding.

I know ticket sales is a topic we beat to death here, but the Simple Plan venues are pretty big. The 2019 tour with Champs played a 1,500 person venue in Richmond, this tour is coming to a 7,500 person amphitheater.

Yeah that Champs tour was billed as a coheadliner but really was not. Haha.

using before Covid for any metric is just non comparable. We have all seen post covid it’s a completely different industry, people became so invested in social media during covid all these artists are way bigger, people are also seeping into nostalgia so much more trying to remember a time when the world didn’t completely suck. It’s just not the same industry.

I'm Just A Kid went stratospheric thanks to TikTok during COVID. Bigger than it ever was back in the day.

If this was in the UK then it would be Bowling For Soup headlining with Simple Plan supporting!!

Damn that Simple Plan tour is coming to a 6500 cap venue here. I assume it’ll sell well. Have no interest in 3oh3 or Lolo but SP/BFS sounds like a really fun time. I assume BFS and 30H3! will alternate since 30H3! has their name listed first on the admat they shared.

Bowling For Soup’s popularity in the UK kind of intrigues me. Blows my mind they’re playing an arena there this year

I’d also argue they’re bigger over there than they are here. Saw them last year at the Anaheim House Of Blues which is a 2,000 cap venue and it didn’t sell out. I got hooked up with free tickets lol

It’s usually the venue for the Pacific Symphony or tribute bands, but I think Ludacris played there last year. Sort of near Wild Rivers if I remember correctly.
