That’s why they got so much shit, is because he has called for safe spaces in metal and hardcore for LGBTQ, for people of color, he has done stuff in his own time for charities etc. so for people it was such a shocker when they got announced for a tour with a rapist, and another band with allegations of being with underage girls, having a member accused of slipping things in multiple girls drinks. It was so what that band wasn’t about. Def ruined their rep.

Creed / Nickelback Summer of 99 and Beyond Festival tickets are $180 (Lawn) - $474 (Pit). Was seriously considering going but those prices have to drop considerably.

Oh yeah for sure, I was one of the first people on their Instagram comments to say it was fucked up of them to not do their research before signing up for that tour (and then was told I was the reason they broke up by randoms on the Internet lmao. Like dude I promise you if I had the power to make bands break up Oceano would not be the one lol, I just wanted some accountability of "we fucked up and we'll do better in the future". Just let me watch my movie in peace). So believe me I was super disappointed and then super confused at the out of proportion reaction that followed.

Tour with bands that include a persons name in their band name:

    Jimmy Eat World
    Less than Jake
    Better than Ezra

John // OC now, OH forever.

I’ll be in Brooklyn when he’s there, but the cheap seats are $65+fees.

In all fairness, MGM Music Hall is huge and they were way too ambitious booking that room. It’s 5k cap.

I’ve seen MGM close off the balcony a few times now. I think, because of its size and location, they sometimes book bands “too small” for it. Better than having the room sit empty. The venue is massive.

I feel like if that bill were at HOB or Royale it would be sold out or close to it.

Feels ambitious for them to do a fourth national tour on Ruckus, but the last three legs went off super well. That momentum, along with pairing these shows with Citizen, another one of the most popular bands in the scene who haven't toured the US in over a year, feels like a hard leap to turn down, even if it falls short of knocking it out of the park on the last few tours.

If they were more popular outside the scene, then this may have made sense as a festival run to close out the Ruckus cycle. Either way, they put on a great show + a great bill. Bringing out Mannequin Pussy, Tigers Jaw, Queen of Jeans, and Scowl as support is kickass. Excited to see them in March.

    Random rant.

Okay, is this crap on purpose? I'll see posts all over facebook/ig about upcoming festivals and no where on the poster does it mention WHERE the concert is lol It's definitely a new trend.

"DeepShores Blues Festival May 13-15 fesaturing all these bands at the Mitchberg Festival Fairgrounds" and i'm like what the fuck is the deepshores blues festival....where is the mitchberg festival fairgounds....

Is it on purpose? Are they getting me to click it so i find out lol. Like unless you're from that area, why would you not include the city/state (or country) on the poster. Or sometimes at BEST, it's very tiny font at the way bottom and you go "ohhhh it's in Oklahoma, fuck that nevermind"

Aquabats posted "PLAYING FORKFEST!!" (WHAT THE HELL IS FORK FEST?!!!)
