Michael Graves is playing some venue I’ve never heard of in Akron and I wish I had as much pull / followers to rally people to message them to get them to cancel that shit like they did in Pittsburgh.

my buddy loves American psycho and famous monsters and saw an advertisement for the tour where he played those albums. He wanted me to go. I said go google Michael graves and look at his social media the last few years.

text me back like an hour later “oh, yea fuck him.”

Do either of you know the capacity for District? I saw that Explosions in the Sky and The Wonder Years are both playing there soon, might check those out. I’m surprised that Explosions wouldn’t just opt for The Capitol Theater or The Oakdale Dome instead

According to Google is 1100 but given it's Norwalk, CT a lot of tours that can easily fill twice that in major cities may struggle.

I saw EITS at College Street years ago, and almost saw TWY/Hot Mulligan/Carly Cosgrove there in 2023 (plans changed). That would make me think Manic made it easy for them to play another round at one of their venues.

I also think the whole “play CT between Boston and NYC” thing has some logistical benefits that may make the lighter crowds worth it. It’s a little different now that CT is squarely on B-market tours now, but likely similar perks.

  13. this might be a hot take but I've never listened to parkway drive and thought "this could really use a full symphonic orchestra"

Less Than Jake summer tour looks to be announcing on Wednesday. Going the full summer but Fishbone and the Suicide Machines are both on it. Looks like it'll be all summer with multiple legs in "clubs and theaters." And will include some Warped dates.

Truly fucking wild, right? Haha. I hope it's all three bands on all dates. I'm sure there will be some with 2 of 3 or something because of other commitments, festivals, etc. But who knows.

My (mega selfish) hope is that it's routed around the Warped dates because that would basically guarantee they hit New England around the time of that Washington DC Warped date.

I really hope that comes to Toronto. Love LTJ, never seen Fishbone or TSM but adore both

Alabama Shakes tickets are $96 before fees at a DC venue that is typically $45-$60 for a show without reserved seating. I know the band’s team plays some role in pricing, but curious why they decided to go so high here.

I am shocked at the size of the tour and size of the venues…I enjoy their albums but I just can’t see these shows selling out and/or being heavily discounted closer to show dates

They probably have a high guarantee and thus tickets need to be priced at this level. Could be crews/buses are more expensive, big production, etc.

Trying to cash in on this round of reunion shows, Brittany has no desire to do new AS music.

Ha or that. Promoters probably made an aggressive offer and ticket buyers are literally paying for it.
