I just found out something devastating.

In 2018 I was volunteering at my local 300 cap diy venue when the promoter told us “make sure you come next week to the Declan McKenna show here. That guy is gonna be huge someday”.

I strongly considered going based off that conversation but ultimately didn’t.

just learned his opener that night was some unknown 19 year old named Chappell Roan.

it was a $10 show.

it took me less than a minute to find that early bird tix are $49 before fees

 

$49 to see TBS, NFG and Spill Canvas is a pretty great deal.

But I hope this doesnt give Warped Tour the idea to book DJ Joey Donut on all their fests now.

 

That's a lot less than what I was expecting... I think I paid like 35 before taxes last year just for NFG

I remain perplexed by the retconning of Hoobastank as an "emo" band.

 

Bummer they aren't on the Cleveland date! The pairing of Dazy and Liquid Mike is what's driving this one for me because I've never even heard of Graham Hunt until today.

But I'm listening now and it's sorta like... A less shiny, more "90s slacker-rock" version of Dazy? I'm into it.

 

There was a time when everything was considered "emo". Even stuff like Breaking Benjamin and The Killers.
