FWIW, the cruise is still happening. Just with all the other bands and no Flogging Molly.

and right next to a literal Beatle (though Ringo wouldn't exactly command headline status like his pal Paul would)

The MSG show seems to have sold pretty well so far, which is crazy considering that even the very last row in the highest section was still going for $170.
The Prudential show.....not doing as well lol. But decent seats are $79 for that one. If I wanted to go to this show I would just save $100+ on the ticket and just take the extra 20 minute train the Newark.

Speaking of shows not selling too well, interesting to see the Kendrick/SZA shows in NJ are far from sold out. I think they overshot the demand with booking 2 nights.

But will be interesting to see how the sales are a week from now after the Super Bowl performance.

Probably cost of tickets. The cheapest tickets for LA started at $250, no joke. Not sure about the cost throughout the US market. There are A LOT of tickets for all 3 LA shows on third party sites and ticketmaster. That is just not affordable at all esp. for really shitty seats. I want to go so bad but not for that price :|

Yeah and the demo these shows target are younger so definitely people who might not have $1k to fork over for two tickets.

I lowkey love when stadium concerts don't sell well because it means I can probably snag $50 tickets the week of. But unfortunately I'm betting that the post halftime show hype will help speed up sales even with those high price tags

Was patiently awaiting the final announcement. Already had my weekend ticket. Glassjaw playing w&t and eyewtkas over both days is unreal. I actually seen them do this over two days in London a few years back. Happily see it again though. Crowd was great then and I think Outbreak Fest crowd will suit these performances big time. Outbreak last year was amazing!

Yeah i'm holding out hope I can find something cheap the week of or maybe even go to the box office one of of the nights (I live pretty close to SoFi) and see if they have any there without fees.

    idk man

Ticket prices are just too damn expensive! That's why some of these guys can't sell out as fast!

Katy Perry at MSG like...STANDARD general admission tickets are still available. Those always blow out for even acts who can't do arenas in every city.

I don't really buy the whole "tickets are too expensive" excuse, especially when My Chemical Romance just sold out an entire stadium tour where the ticket prices averaged like $300 each.

idk if you're joking but $300 isn't cheap for the majority of people

No no no I'm saying "tickets being too expensive" isnt an excuse for artists when their shows dont sell fast, considering there are other artists selling at just as high a price point and selling out shows.

My point was that $300 is very expensive.

I don't think it really matters if Katy Perrys tickets were $300 or $50, I just don't think there's enough interest in her to be selling out arenas across the country anymore.

Ahhh gotcha. Yeah I think there’s many factors at play. Kendrick is a hotter, bigger name at the moment but there’s a smaller devoted fan base for live rap than there is for live rock. Plus MCR is doing their most popular album.

it also doesn’t help that we don’t know how many tickets were “bought” just to be scalped on other websites. Or how many people only got their $300+ ticket thanks to a predatory Klarna payment plan.

it’s a weird time for big tours and the economics of it doesn’t make a lot of sense
