Looking at some of the other dates it looks like they're mostly with Keep Flying. So this might be a one-off. Still kinda weird to not mention any other bands at all, though. LOL

I haven't actively listened to ska in 20 years, but Save Ferris is playing here on the patio at a BBQ restaurant that has a ferris wheel and is called Ferris Wheelers, so I might have to go.

I mean, it's a requirement. Save Ferris has never really been my favorite band but when I saw them at a festival back in 2018 they were pretty okay live.

Greek Theater in LA shared the Black Keys teaser so safe to assume they're playing there

    The intrusive whisper fascinates me

Damn that’s definitely a downgrade from their initial tour. But fitting for them now

They lumped the Sex Pistols in there too... But I'm not sure I buy that yet. The rumor just seems to be because all three are on a festival or two together.

can someone explain the Whirr situation to me? had someone ask me if they were canceled today and I had no idea what happened.

Happened a few years ago. They tweeted some homophobic/transphobic stuff in the past about another band. From what I remember, they claimed they were letting a "friend" of the band tweet from their account & it wasn't anyone in the band making the comments but the damage was already done.

I saw The Black Keys play the Akron Civic Theater in October. It is around a 3K capacity venue. They capped the entrance to 500. It was a Crypto shill show. They didn’t mention anything political but the stage they played on was set up on the stage that is built into the venue. They played with their back to the seats and they sat people in the balcony seating while the band played with its back to them. It felt like seeing them at a venue that holds like 200 people or so, for those of us in front of them. It was cool, it was fine but it was also free. The $100+ the tickets are sure to cost for a show in a venue that size for them (which is right in 2025) just isn’t worth it.

I think it’s also worth posting this interview from last year. I don’t have a strong opinion on the band or whether they “should” be playing again, and it’s not for me to say if this is enough for any one to feel okay about them, but I do think this is a case where an artist displayed some honest reckoning with the hurt they caused.

JM had 6 presales this week, at least for my show. So I'm not surprised nothing was left for the general on sale.
One or two presales are fine, 6 is excessive. I actually liked how NIN had no presales at all.
