I almost saw Rauw Alejandro at a free concert he threw in San Juan last Friday, but it was so insanely crowded we ended up leaving before he was on.

With Pierce the Veil, I was surprised at how big their comeback was, but I'm not surprised anymore by how well this tour is doing. It's been pretty clear for a few years now that they had a serious level up. And I mean it helps that they rip live, and we're also underestimating the Tik Tok impact. Plus the pent up demand from their hiatus.

Yes the system knows the bigger the fan, the bigger the sucker...I have found that when bands/artists use their own smaller ticketing system the tickets are often cheaper for presales, however if its only ticketmaster you'll see jacked up pricing for presales followed by "sold out" shows with only plantinum tickets left over and then when the show gets closer suddenly more face value tickets are found.....i do love live music but i'm never disappointed when shows are struggling to sell when this is the game ticketmaster is playing

ticketmaster does not control what is available in pre-sales or platinum tickets, it's all the artist's teams. a dirty little secret is many pre-sales will sell up around 90% of the house (sometimes even 100%), which is how extra shows get added before public on-sale. they dictate which tickets are platinum, what to cap their price at, and will adjust to undercut the secondary market. if platinum doesn't move, they eventually will be changed to face value.

well if its an artist's team dictating if i feel even less disappointment for poorly selling shows...post-Covid (and personally having children) I rarely purchase tickets to a show until a few days before a show

same, glad I waited on Dua…prices are starting to drop a bit already and it looks like 15-20% of each venues tickets are for resale of secondary sites.

scalpers took a big chance on this tour like the Travis Scott one, can only hope it backfires just as much and the market gets flooded for $50-100 tickets before the show.

tbh that screenshot is showing....4 rows of nosebleeds...for $300 a ticket.

not exactly huge swarthes of tickets for that particular show being held back. unless I'm missing something

i presume they were platinum tickets and not held back as such too

Crazy how they get away with 40 minute headline sets.

Not a Big D fan but damn O'Brien's is crazy for that. Place only holds about 75 people, if that.

Yeah, I'm pretty sure formal capacity of O'Brien's is 75. The whole New England run is an underplay for them; I think most are about the same capacity.

AC/DC ticket buying process was fairly painless. was in the queue for 10 minutes. Got 200 level at Solider Field in on an aisle, basically where i was for Swifty, for $150 a pop

Glad they've improved but 15th anniversary tour was one album per night, no extra songs. nowhere near 90 mins tbh.

edit: didn't realize this was already being discussed in the band thread haha
