Every touring band should shout out Buc-ees tho. I remember seeing bands from Weezer to Tigers Jaw with logo stickers on their insturments and tour crews with hats and shirts.

Love buccees. Just waiting for the day Austin has it's own and I don't have to go so far just to get to one.

I’ve only been to Dallas and Houston but I’ve been to like 7 different buccees between the two cities lmao

Fred just added a 2nd Fort Worth show. Second Buffalo show is possible due to the demand in NY and the Toronto arena being booked for a possible 3rd date.

Bearings hinted at a tour for next week. I can see them opening for RF.

  7. I hadn't heard anything by Fred Again, so I clicked play on his most popular song a minute ago, and yuuuuup... this is exactly NOT my shit. Hahaha...

    The intrusive whisper fascinates me

I feel like it would be on-brand for a hardcore band to advertise Taco Bell during their set, yeah?

My favorite ad situation was at Summerfest this year. American Family has a small stage where people do short, stripped down sets. It’s all an advertise for AmFam, and there’s a hype guy who will sneak in amfam ad reads. Saw Gin Blossoms, and the very first thing he talked about was that he has AmFam but he’s pissed at them for a weird policy thing. Very subversive, but hype guy didn’t hear it and after the set he was pitching the band on AmFam and the singer had a big grin and the crowd was laughing, but hype guy had no idea why

At Warped Tour 2011, Hellogoodbye plugged the movie Take Me Home Tonight, which had a giant semi-truck trailer advertising it right in front of their stage and it was very funny.

That commercial introduced 11 year old me to emo/alt music

I was 9 years old when that ad came out and it literally made me the music fan I am today lol

  14. They had a contest to build a Bionicle as fast as you could in the store and my 6 year old ass won that shit

Genuinely one of the most impactful/influential music moments of my life. I would not be the person I am today without the aar bionicles commercial and also the Tony Hawk and Madden soundtracks around that time.

Forgot to mention this was posted a few weeks ago on Twitter by Tom Z, a promoter from RI who is friends with the Bane crew
So I think we can expect a Bane/STYG/Terror tour this fall

Yeah I'm definitely down with that! I've never really listened to STYG but people I know insist I'd like them.

More chatter about Oasis is picking up on Reddit and eFestivals. Latest rumors are a September announcement, a pretty well respected user at eFests claims there was a hold placed on Wembley July 11-22 next year.

Zero desire to see this in the US, I need to goto the UK to experience this if it happens. It’ll be such a cultural moment for them.

They’re great. Last record was probably their most eclectic yet, I’d give it a listen

I have no idea what Oasis can draw in North America. I imagine in anglophile-heavy cities they can do arenas and maybe even a few baseball parks but not sure about the middle of the country.

I feel like they’d skip the middle of the country and just play the 5-10 biggest cities + a few fests

I could see Coachella as a US festival exclusive, they’ll take the payday from Paul T. Could be a great way to kick off the reunion with the global streaming reach of Coachella.

Outside of that I’d expect NYC, Boston, DC, Toronto, Chicago, LA, etc.

Their streaming numbers are still really big and similar to Smashing Pumpkins and Deftones, they found a big second life on TikTok.

If the reunion comes to North America I would expect baseball stadiums in LA, NYC, Chicago, Boston and Toronto.

I'd say their streaming numbers are way bigger than Deftones or the Pumpkins. They have double the monthly listeners, one song with over 2 BILLION streams and another that is hovering right below 1 billion.
