For the record that rumored Reddit lineup only has Oceano, Last ten seconds of life and Lvndmvrks wrong, so they had some info for sure.

 

Oh, this is just my own personal tastes. If you or others like those bands, it's dope. It's just a far cry from when bands like Necrophagist, Cannibal Corpse, or even Despised Icon were on it for me.

 

I agree, I just was under the impression that universally people thought those were pretty good metal bands out there. But that new veil album was lousy, and Gideon are fine but no necessarily for me.

 

Yeah definitely not a lineup for people who were going to the tour 2007-2017. That's why the outrage is so prevalent.

 

I think far less people would be annoyed if this was called all stars instead of SS.

 

My local Kid Cudi date was just canceled, whole tour gone? Broken foot at Coachella + not great sales I imagine

 

i agree with this, and the more i think about it the more i understand the frustration. with that being said, it definitely is a refreshed lineup- most of these artists are either relevant now or becoming relevant soon, while i think artists like black dahlia and despised icon have already peaked in popularity. maybe this was intentionally curated for a “newer” crowd? we’ll see what the turnout is like and maybe next year they’ll pivot back to legacy headliners that have proven to be worth booking in the past.

 

I mean, couldn't you say this about a lot of touring "festivals"? That's kinda the idea, right?

It felt wierd to be Happy that the tour might have been canceled cause the man broke his foot. But I sort of regretted spending 200 dollars to see him right after I got thr ticket

 

Gideon’s the only band on here where I feel should be profitable enough on their own. They don’t need this

 

Cudi's MSG show was selling so poorly that it was bound to get cancelled soon anyway. Sucks he broke his foot but now he gets to save face.

Similar to when Justin Bieber announced a football stadium tour that was selling terribly, and then COVID hit and it saved him from the bad press of having to cancel due to low sales.

 

don't care one bit about this tour but normalize putting what date bands will be announced if they're blurred out like this
