I’m really bummed there is no Pittsburgh, Cleveland or Columbus date for the MO tour. :sigh:

surprising to me they’re doing a tour on Cope if they didn’t really do one for Simple Math? i don’t remember at least! but i am so in for the Detroit date!

I have no idea-- most of these venues are opening doors around 4pm or 5pm, which doesn't feel like an adequate headstart to get 6 bands done by the all-ages curfew.

I assume it'll be 25-30 minutes sets for the openers. At most 45 minutes for the other 4

I can’t be alone in disliking album plays right? This album is great and all but isn’t part of the magic in seeing a live act anticipating what they will play next

A 6 band tour where you don’t know the order of the bands until you show up sounds like absolute hell. I know this is for the young crowd, but that’s a big no for me lol

I am actually pretty surprised this is real for MO. I saw this tour twice and Andy said mid-set how hard those songs are for him to perform, and they weren't playing the full record. Regardless, those shows were massive and I feel like this album don't get a ton of play in their current setlists so this one actually feels pretty cool for them to do.

But overall, I tend to agree the album playthrough is starting to get a bit tiresome.

I'll trade off that feeling for one show in exchange for some deep cuts the band doesn't play often/ever.

It's also become a cheap ploy to sell tickets with the verbiage of "celebrating" certain albums. Essentially saying "Hey, old people, we know you don't check out new music anymore but don't worry, we'll only be playing the songs you remember from when you were young."

Love to see Direct Hit! getting back out there.

It depends on the band and the album. Sometimes I like to be surprised, otherwise I really want to know what's coming up next. Generally, the main reason I enjoy album plays is it gets bands to slot deep cuts into the set that I've either never heard or haven't heard in a long time. That's the real appeal for me...

But in some cases it definitely feels gimmicky and gives me the eye rolls. Haha. And in other cases it actually dissuades me from attending a tour because I'd prefer a greatest hits-style set.

I think it works if you like all four bands enough or if you're apart of that crowd to where you'll watch all four. I like Home Team a lot and Scene Queen and Stand Atlantic both do enough for me that I want to try and check it out.

Big fan of album plays, it’s usually my only chance to hear the deep cuts of records I love. And at most of the album plays I’ve been to, the other half of the songs they play are normally more exciting than just another greatest hits set

I get it. It just seems like the sets will be awfully short (40 minutes) and I’d rather see bands I like headline tours. 6 band bills have never really been my thing and the older I get I like a nice compact lineup. 3 band bills FTW.

Looks like Scene Queen is billed highest for the Cleveland show. I only want to see Stand Atlantic & The Home Team. Will check out the other bands, Scene Queen is not for me.
