Shamelessly reposting here because it will for sure still apply:

This thread should probably close down from noon on Friday to 8am on Monday. Nothing good happens in that time period. Just trouble.

I guess I can come out and say it now that it’s unfortunately not happening. The 2024 tour that should have been a 2023 tour that was very close to happening but now isn’t happening was an AFI Sing the Sorrow tour. I can’t believe they chose a 30STM support slot over that. I am not okay

Oh yeah, oh yeah, everything is terrible.

    hey what the fuck

So that Forum show that was supposed to be the only time they played it live was a hoax?

At the time, that was the plan. They had a change of heart, and then had another one apparently lol

Of the three ballpark shows I'm going to at Citi Field this summer (Blink 182 and Foo Fighters being the other ones), this one seems to be doing the worst but it DID just go on properly on sale today.

Man, that's such a bummer! Hah. Conveniently though... Looks like that 30STM tour skips Nevada.

Wonder if that's one of the WWYF album plays this year.

I hadn’t thought of that. Very well could be

That....is such an odd choice. They could have probably done arenas for that album.

Yeah that was a lame move on their part

A 30STM/AFI probably would’ve killed in 2006, but man, they’re wasting a tour by doing that

I don't know about "arenas" in the sense people usually talk about them here... But they could probably do a tour of 3-5k rooms with some smaller minor league arenas in certain cities with the right support or as part of a co-headliner.

EDIT: I think the winner would be A.F.I. doing Sing the Sorrow and Rise Against doing Siren Songs or TS&TW as far as co-headliners go.

They should have done a co-headliner in 2007, would have been able to do arenas then but instead 30STM did Taste Of Chaos

What albums would be good to have celebratory anniversary tours next year?

    Things have changed.

    Where You Want to Be
    Futures
    Three Cheers for Sweet Revenge
    American Idiot
    In Love and Death
    Straylight Run
    Catalyst

Hawthorne Heights will obviously do Silence in Black and White

Since we’ve been talking about AJr, they are doing a pop up in an unspecified NYC park on Sun (I’d be willing to bet somewhere around Chelsea since they’re from there).

I don’t think I’ve ever seen a band where the entire venue was a pit, everyone front to back…Boundaries accomplished that tonight. Literally one of the craziest things I’ve ever seen Dying Wish is still next.

Seeing that tour in two weeks for DW's hometown show, super stoked and this only does more for me.

I don't think we'll ever get another Sugarcult show.

Straylight hasn't done anything in 2 years.

Highly doubt MCR does anything next year.

Would LOVE a Futures tour though.
