It works from a marketing standpoint. An Entire sold out tour brings more attention to them IMO. As someone who had never listened to them, hearing about them filling venues so quickly makes me intrigued and listen to them..

 

Based off the routing of this Sleep Token tour and the markets they skipped, I wonder if there is in fact a larger tour they’ll be a part later this year. Not sure how they would impact venue sizes on this spring run; just a thought.

 

Fleshwater headline date sold out in Nashville 5 months in advance. Granted it’s like 150 cap

Avril’s Toronto date sold out so fast she added a second one at a different venue a few days before lol

 

i was able to get a sleep token ticket on the Wednesday presale. my code came in 7 minutes before the sale started (i was already in the ticketmaster queue), and was easily able to get a floor ticket, sounds like i was one of the lucky ones - but i just received this email from AEG. hope this gets some heat off the band from the disgruntled fans. looks like best intentions just didnt pan out

 

Can’t believe Avril is selling out places while Milwaukee is at least 2/3 available. I might just be ignorant but does she have much more than 4-6 hits to necessitate an “eras” type tour?

 

Be great if he could get the OG line up for this

 

I love Senses Fail (and that includes a good chunk of their newer stuff) but they're slowly entering Hawthorne Heights territory with these every other year same album plays.

 

They just need to play arenas and cut the bullshit. Clearly the demand is there

 

Pretty sure the whole tour (minus maybe one or two dates) is sold out.

 

I don’t know about other markets, but Toronto sold out so fast because she’s from here. The market here for shows in general is also just insane right now

 

Buddy was very against album plays at one point because he didn’t want to be a nostalgia act, but it really seems that all the fan base wants out of them.

 

LA is pretty much sold out for Avril. Didn't expect that one to go fast.

I'm not even against albums plays it's just try to actually make them something special or for only an actual anniversary date (10, 20, etc). As it is Let It Enfold You has already been played in 2014, 2015, and 2021. And I understand that 2021 was the bands 20 year anniversary, but you're telling me you couldn't do something like a fan voted setlist? There's stuff from If There Is Light that I would love to hear but probably won't ever get the chance to.

 

Got tickets to Just Like Heaven and The Killers Hot Fuss residency this morning. My wallet hurts lol

 

To echo previous comments, I'm shocked to see that the Avril show on Long Island is pretty close to sold out too. Impressive, considering the last time she headlined the NYC area it was at a 3,500 cap venue.

I'd love to go to this, but Westchester to Long Island on a weeknight is a heck of a journey.

 

Yeah my wife surprised me with Just Like Heaven tickets and we were both shocked at how expensive they were. Ah well. Worth it to see Postal Service again!
