Honestly, I think bands should have just not announced any rescheduled dates, a number of bands never did that because they realized that there’s no certainty when we will be out of this.

I think it’s becoming more and more obvious that at this rate and the way people are acting that Summer 2021 as a realistic point of continuation is the right call, and at this point for that to be a reality people need to change their course and maybe accept that their freedoms aren’t being taken away and that these are things we need to do to beat this thing.

You're asking a lot from people that think that wearing a mask leads to Americans being hurdled into box cars.

The philly situation definitely has me pessimistic, there is a stupid event going around that all my south philly friends are sharing about doing a massive mummers day parade on new years day anyways despite the new restrictions, these clowns want to be mad about everything

I just don’t get it, I truly don’t. You have proof now! All these other countries did exactly what they were told to do and Japan has sports with fans, events with fans, I saw a tour manager write about he was contacted about resuming touring overseas in January, but no American bands are gonna partake cause we can’t get control of this thing. It’s just absurd how doing literally the right thing to bring down the numbers and beat this into submission has been turned into some political stance. It’s not political! It’s not taking your “freedoms” away. It’s common sense on how you control an outbreak. If you stop or slow down the spread it dies!

Maybe, but I do not agree with his estimate of when the claustrophobia economy is going to begin, because I already see it happening around me.

I went out for the first time since before this shit started on Thursday where I live to see a friend and where I was it was like half with masks the other half without but it was mostly open places and forest preserves. Some people act like nothing is wrong

It’s so fucking easy. Wear a mask. Keep it on your chin (despite that stupid meme). If you are ever in a situation where you’re not comfortably six feet from other people, pull it up.

I just keep my mask pulled up on my face anytime I am not in my home no matter where I am.

That’s totally ideal, and as it gets cooler I’ll definitely start keeping it on all the time, but it’s fucking hot. If there’s no one near me, it’s coming down. But if I’m walking through anywhere that’s even slightly densely populated it stays on.

Maybe it’s just because I live in a big city, but there’s always a chance someone will come within six feet of you anytime outdoors. I feel like if you’re mask isn’t fully on and you see someone within six feet (which, for example, you wouldn’t always realize if they are running or walking behind you) by the time you put on the mask it’s too late. Having the mask on the whole time eliminates all risk that would happen if the mask wasn’t on in time.

I totally get that it’s hot out especially with the mask on, I’m a huge sweater and it’s definitely uncomfortable at times, but I’d rather be uncomfortable than sick or getting others sick. Just my two cents though.

I was at my kids dance recital today and maybe 10-15 adults out of 50+ were wearing masks. Then absolute none of the kids wore masks (60 or so). Wild stuff to see.

Oh yeah, it’s crazy but the reality is that’s the normal in a large portion of this country. Thankfully I live in a big city and we have a mask mandate, but as soon as you go 20 minutes south no one is wearing a mask.

I can’t even fathom that there are even recitals taking place now. Makes no sense to me

it’s been a wild ride on the parents group chat we have going on all season. We were supposed to go down to some casino in CT for the competition initially, then Covid started happening, went to Zoom classes, finally back to in person about 3 weeks ago and just did a regular performance instead at some local American legion pavilion.

Probably because people are unsure if a vaccine will be available by the start of 2021 and tons of idiots will most likely not get it which will delay its effectiveness in controlling the spread.

Companies want to do things safely so rushing things isn't going to happen and they are probably preparing for a worse case scenario due to our country's failure in dealing with this whole mess. There's things more important than concerts.

Biggest reason to wait is the uncertainty. Lots of artists won’t be back to their 100% full touring scheduling next year. Booking 2022 would be logistically easier.

Once again shocked it’s taking bands this long to cancel tours scheduled for this year.

    It's chaos. Be kind. Prestigious

The only other show I have "scheduled" for 2020 is a rescheduled Gin Blossoms show in November, which will undoubtedly get cancelled.
