I know a Senses Fail/Finch tour was rumored on here a while ago.

Can you start from the beginning? Where STT spawned from, what inspired it and how it all came together?
BUDDY NIELSEN: I think [Senses Fail] were supposed to do a headline tour in the spring last year that we had to cancel. We never announced it, but it was with Finch. We had some issues: We had some things we had to deal with on our end and we had to cancel the tour. But they kind of hit me up after, since they were planning to go on tour. They were like, “Well, we’re not doing this tour, I guess Buddy’s not touring either.” They weren’t gonna be really active with touring and they wanted to play, so they were like, “Well, maybe we should ask Buddy if he wants to be in a band. So they sent me an email, “Hey, you wanna write some songs?” and they sent me a couple things they’d worked on. You know, I’ve never really done another proper band, I’ve only been with Senses Fail. I thought it’d be a cool opportunity to try something different but with some people that I knew. I thought we had a cool opportunity to maybe make something that took the best of both bands [and] put them into one.

 

And it looks like we can expect some Speak The Truth (Senses Fail, Finch) next year.

So you don’t know right now if you’ll release a full-length or tour?
We definitely are. We’re recording a full-length right now, we’re definitely gonna release a full-length. And we’re definitely gonna play a bunch of shows next year. I just don’t know past that. It’s gonna depend on if people like it or not. It’s one of those things, we’re gonna test it out and if it makes sense, we’ll do more.

The Offspring might be teasing some 20 year shows for Ixnay On The Hombre. They just posted this picture with the caption "Big 'Ixnay On The Hombre' Anniversary next year..."

 

Large tours rarely get announced Thursday-Sunday. Gotta wait Til next Monday most likely.

 

Long time follower but I don't post a lot. Just wanted to give this thread a shoutout cause I had a big presentation on social media discussion boards and I used this tour forum and specific thread as my example of what building an effective online community looks like. You guys rock

Not really sure if anyone on here cares, but I'm too excited not to post this. I got floor seats to see Billy Joel in January and I'm beyond excited!

 

I saw him earlier this year in Cincinnati and had a blast. We did floor seats also. Hope you have a great time!

 

Can anyone get onto Ticketfly right now? I have been trying to get tickets for the Real Friends/Knuckle Puck holiday show for the last hour. So frustrating!

 

Could be due to the DDoS attack today. I heard Spotify and Twitter are down. I just got home from work so I haven't investigated for myself yet.

That's a bummer. They are one of those bands who have played every other year for quite a while.

 

Damn, I loved their set at Warped in 2015. Hey, at least we're getting the Messengers X tour, I really can't complain.

 

That's interesting. I'm going to replace them with Miss May I in my full lineup prediction.

 

pierce the veil has a few east coast dates in december, 2 of which are in VA, ones in richmond, the other is in norfolk. these aren't festival appearances but more intimate shows I guess for them, both venues are 1400-1500 cap. point is, they have "special guest to be announced" as support. anyone got anything on that?

the bands themselves haven't posted or announced anything. i've only seen the announcements via the venues facebook pages.

This is more than likely why they didn't play either city on their recent tour, as they always hit one market or the other. I'm hoping someone I actually like opens for them. they usually don't let local talent on bigger shows like that in those markets. smaller clubs like Canal club or Broadberry do.

 

I sense that very soon, the annual rumor mill and announcements of winter/spring tours will roll around.

 

The look to be standard radio station-sponsored holiday shows.

 

I think I'll go ahead and ask this: Are there any winter/spring tours rumored at this point? I know MIW are supposed to be touring around the new album release and Carnifex are teasing a headliner, as someone mentioned.

 

Atreyu/Motionless In White?
