Some American bands draw way more overseas than they do here. I know of several pop-punk bands that are/were "big" in Japan but don't draw nearly as well in the States.

Also, B market tours were the only way I was able to go to shows growing up. I grew up 5 hours from DC, 4 from Charlotte, and 3.5 to Richmond or Raleigh. I'd beg for things to come to Greensboro, 2 hours was nothing compared to the others (after college I moved to the Northeast so the days of driving hours for shows are finally over).

I feel the same about all of this. I've tried to give FFAK a listen multiple times but they do nothing for me musically. I feel like I'm in the minority but i feel the same way about Wage War. I'm sure they both put on a great show though.

Also MMI's album was pretty good. The one before was decent too. It sounds more metal than metalcore if anything.

ABR playing TD Place in Ottawa? That's a 24k soccer stadium?

Metalcore and Pop-Punk seem to have a popularity switch between the UK & the US (i.e. As It Is, State Champs and Neck Deep are all playing massive 2500-5000+ rooms over there, and All Time Low play stadiums and arenas now)

All Time Low plays stadiums? They’re playing a House of Blues here in December and their last tour was small amphitheater’s I thought?

I meant in the UK where they've played Wembley, Alexandria Palace & Manchester Arena

    Things have changed.

Stadiums and arenas aren't the same thing. People get this confused all the time.

ATL have played O2 Arena which is 20000 capacity

  9. Another thing with popularity is there are huge gaps in the US. Bands can draw 2000+ in NYC and then play to like 700 in the midwest.

Zebrahead are the perfect example. They can draw maybe 100 people in NYC and do a co-headlining tour at arenas in Japan.

Fully agree, Lana Del Rey was packing arenas on her “la to the moon tour” and then at her stop in Michigan there was maybe 300 people max on the floor and there was people sprinkled across the seats. The tour I’m guessing was drawing great in the big markets(heck she was pretty high up headliner wise at Coachella) but I’ve never seen something that bad

sorry i’m a little late, but is it safe to assume that MMI & FFAK are actually on all dates, but can’t announce themselves on certain shows due to playing the same general areas on current or upcoming tours? my reason for asking is because MMI isn’t listed on the RVA date, but they also are playing RVA with gwar in a few weeks.

Muse is playing in Chicago December 9th for a 5th night of the nights we stole Christmas and no Chicago date during their world tour tells me they are playing lolla or Chicago open air
