I really don't care about someone trying to sabotage Varials' set. I had an exchange with them a couple years ago on Facebook and it ended with them and bunch of fans posting my picture and calling me fat, loser, asshole, etc. They seem like really classy folks.

I mean wasn't there a sexual misconduct allegation against one of the members not too long ago? Same with Cane Hill now I think about it.

It seems like that stuff is forgotten and brushed under the rug way quicker in the metalcore scene.

Not sure about Varials, but yeah there was something involving someone from Cane Hill. I'm not sure what member(s).

Just googled it, and it was an ex-member of Varials, so my bad, but still.

  6. I’m just really impressed that considering the relatively low draw of all the supports that Counterparts are finally doing as well as they deserve.

Counterparts and Baao have the same draw. Have mercy ain’t that far behind either.

I'm actually going just to see BAAO... Counterparts is an extra to me.

My only memory of Varials was when the singer lost his car keys when they opened for Wage War at the Palladium

I remember that! I’m not sure why a vocalist who is as energized as him would bring his keys on stage

Not too weird tbh. I could see the crossover fans eating this up.

Have they announced support for their upcoming US dates (specifically Cleveland) yet?

    The intrusive whisper fascinates me

As someone who loves Cypress Hill and has wanted to see them for years, and someone who cannot stand Hollywood Undead, I’m not sure how to feel about this tour...

Guess I’ll still hit up the Anaheim date and cross my fingers CH plays first...

They've also signed to Solid State records. If this doesn't say that Rise is terrible at promoting their best bands idk what does. Solid State will probably be the best label for them. They keep a small label, which means promotion is actually there for the artists.

Might be a bit off topic... How do you guys keep track of upcoming shows?

I usually write them down on a sticky note widget on my phone but that sucks. Is there a good app (besides the regular calendar) for something like this?

  22. estacey99

Oh yeah, oh yeah, everything is terrible.

I usually use my phone calendar or the Facebook events for each show

I use Facebook events too but I wish there was something else I could use instead

There's a Facebook app just for events called Local. It's fairly new, but it rules. On top of that, I use Bandsintown and Songkick. Those are both pretty good but don't have EVERY show, but they do have most. I still compile everything into an Excel spreadsheet though, unfortunately.
