    The intrusive whisper fascinates me

I’m surprised at how far they fell off, I feel like they could’ve been big, tbh. I think The New Sidewalk kinda divided fans

I’m also really confused as to why they have an Anaheim and a Fullerton date back-to-Back seeing that the two cities are literally RIGHT NEXT TO EACH OTHER

But I’m gonna try and hit up that Fullerton date because it’s literally inside of a skate shop and has such a low capacity, so that would be rad to experience

Probably means Living With Lions has a fall tour planned once they finish their run with Seaway.

New TSSF record is out September 21st, by the way. They officially announced it.

Facebook likes means nothing. My friend booked Such Gold a couple years ago, and they only drew 30 people. People stopped caring about them.

    Was Such Gold ever popular?

They seem to have gotten in with the orgcore bands. I saw them at Pouzza Fest and they drew pretty well as a "headliner". I imagine a Fest performance would do well too.

  7. They had a lot of hype on their first couple EPs and never really delivered on it with the full lengths.

The smallest crowd I've ever seen at a festival was for Such Gold. It was sad.

In 2011, they filled the Main Stage at Bled Fest to where you couldn't move it was so crowded. In 2014, I saw, maybe, a dozen people singing along to them when they opened up for Transit.

Agreed. And people go through phases. There are a bunch of bands that I “like” on Facebook that I haven’t even listened to in years...

I saw citizen last week and only about 125 ppl were there. Did they used to me more popular?

A lot of it too probably has to do with markets. I know they are doing very well in Boston, but they could have lost steam in other places.

nah such gold just decided they didn't really give a fuck about fitting into pop-punk and decided to just play the hell out of their instruments vs boring pop shit

I also booked Such Gold recently and they drew about 30 people. It's a shame because they put on a live show like absolutely no other. Three of the members have another band called Taking Meds too who are phenomenal and expand more on the mathy side without much pop punk in the mix

  15. I think more technical bands like them aren’t doing as well, which is why I think Belmont won’t blow up like people assume.

So how much do you pay then when you book shows? Just curious?

Saw them open the last Hostage Calm (RIP) Philly show and I swear there was more photographers taking pictures than people watching the band.

I don't really wanna leak what their guarantee is like that, kinda private and I don't really think it would be fair

Well I understand. Would it at least be a $1000 or am I way off?

Saw Such Gold open for PBC back in 2011 and people were going mad stagediving and moshing. They probably had the most crowd reaction on a bill that also included Fireworks and B&C.

Crazy to think Such Gold is the last of those bands standing. I really like Misadventures but haven't come back to New Sidewalk a bunch. May try to check out that Chicago show

Also didn't see this posted and because I am arguably the biggest stan for them on this site.

Ryan Key said at Warped today he was going to be touring again in the fall, though nothing concrete appears to be lined up yet (He said he was either gonna headline or find a tour to join). Interested to see how his solo career goes, will he keep playing YC stuff?

  23. sam_might_say

    The intrusive whisper fascinates me

If he does a solo tour, I think it’ll be a mix of both. If he opens for another band, I’m sure he’ll pribably do what he did with NFG and just solo material and end with Ocean Avenue

He said he didn’t want to give out the information and yet you still ask… again. This is why you think you have “haters” here. Because someone will tell you one thing, answer your questions and you continue to beat a dead horse.

As a former promoter myself, that information is classified.
