Any rumors of it coming back so soon? I thought they skipped a few years between the last two self helps.

 

I have nothing lol. Just very strange how:

1. No philly date (Parkway's last tour that just ended and had no philly date)
2. Off on a Saturday like Austin said.
3. Fits perfectly where Self Help Philly has taken place in September.

 

I could definitely see Self Help Philly as a possibility. Great catch. Not sure if I would do it back to back years though.

 

considering road tripping and hitting up a bunch of friends around hopscotch

 

Save Face is one of my favorite bands to see live. Definitely catch them on this tour if you can.

 

It seems like she's kind of trying to recapture some of her "indie rock cred" and will probably be playing mostly Exile era stuff (and maybe new songs?), but is it bad I kind of really want to see "Why Can't I" on the setlist?

 

no, I always admired how even when she had a mainstream hit it had the line "we haven't fucked yet but my head is spinning", she always has to be Liz Phair

 

Various LA/OC shows announced today to make up for FYF being cancelled

 

Fearless Records bought out Razor & Tie from the looks of it. The Pretty Reckless, Red Sun Rising, The Sword, Devour the Day, and All That Remains are all now on the label.

Punk Goes Kidz Bop?

 

If anyone is going to this, I really suggest Yamantaka//Sonic Titan. Local proggy/noisy band from Montreal. Their singer is asian-canadian, and another of their members is first nations, and they draw heavily on that in their sound/lyrics. one of my close friends' cousins is in this band, their most recent record is super good: Dirt, by Yamantaka//Sonic Titan. also, there's generally zero representation for first nations people in music, so it's cool to see that too.
