I saw them play a 400 cap room back to back nights right before Shape Shift came out and it was awesome

saw em at warped tour 08 on the mainstage, and it started pouring during thrash unreal. one of my favourite shows ever. saw em on the TDB tour with gaslight at a 2,500 cap which was also great.

Well, NJ is a very densely-populated state compared to most. Asbury also has amazing bars/restaurants

Exactly. NJ is just one giant NYC/Philly suburb.

I go to Stone Pony for at least one show every summer. It's a bit longer drive than Philly for me, but the scenery and crowds are worth it. Right by the boardwalk, good bars and restaurants with beach views, and the crowds at shows have always been chill in my experience. There were lots of drunk old guys at the Social Distortion show a couple years back, but even they were just happy fun drunks. No one looking for fights or anything.

I can't always say the same about some venues in Philly.

Obnoxious/embarrassing name aside, this seems like it could be a pretty cool festival. The Mighty Mighty Bosstones, the Bouncing Souls, Fishbone, the Pietasters, etc.

    I'm into it.

Outside of Stone Pony Summerstage, The Stone Pony is nothing more than a cover band venue today. Bowery Presents, who books things at Terminal 5 and Music Hall of Williamsburg, are responsible for the big shows coming to Asbury Lanes. Not sure who books shows at House of Independents.

Right?!! It's a pretty fun line-up, and it looks like there's more bands to be announced. I'm not 100% on this, but everything I'm seeing about this makes it look like the Bosstones have curated it too (including the line-up, hah).

I don't know if I'd be as excited about this if the Bouncing Souls weren't on it, though.

I've seen that two shows have been cancelled at the venue this weekend. Wonder if this has anything to do with that.

    It 100% does

There was also another show downstairs on Saturday that is now a house show

Their employees? I didn't see anything about that.

Wouldn't be surprised if that Special Explosion/American Pleasure Club show ended up at Doug Fir or Mississippi. I was kind of surprised they were playing the Analog to begin with.

The show was tomorrow night, it's probably just not happening honestly

Oh damn, I didn't realize it was so close. That's too bad.

Wonder if Dangerous Summer will happen on Tuesday. Honestly feel like the Analog is fucked and small all ages shows in Portland are going to be as well at least temporarily. I can't support that venue anymore.

I honestly have no clue what's gonna happen with that show. The local on the show is friends of mine and we've already gotten a few shows we're doing together out of there but last I heard they haven't heard of any changes being made. Take Warning was posting about the show yesterday even.

Yeah I've seen a show or two move to Lola's room. I'm assuming a lot of future shows may be cancelled unless a new all ages venue pops up that is cheap to book, but I could he wrong. I can't see a lot of bands booking this venue due to the allegations outside of shitty metal or old punk bands who don't care about those types of things.

    What about Black Water Bar?

Is that all ages? There's a ton of small bars that host shows around town, but I don't think any of them are all ages.
