Bowery Presents are now booking shows at Asbury Lanes, so that helps.

I'll be seeing them in Greensboro again. Couple days before Warped for me too so that should be a fun week.

 

Not a big fan but seeing him at Boston Calling so this is good to hear

 

against me in a 400 cap would be an insane time. can't say i've been in love with any of their records for years, but I saw them a year or so ago and it was great. LJG puts on one of the best shows in punk.

also, what's the deal with ashbury park? i know the place purely from seeing it on literally every tour flyer ever, but I recently found out it only has like 15k people living there, and it's not even really close to any major city? How do they get so many shows?

 

the stone pony is a classic classic venue. i mean, bruce springsteen's first album is called "greetings from asbury park".

 

yeah, I know it's super legendary. but where do all these people come from? just seems like it's out in the middle of nowhere, and if you really wanted to drive to a show you could do philly or new york in a reasonable amount of time.

I mean it must do well since everyone plays there, but I've always wondered how.

 

it really is just like, a beach city with history.

 

I've noticed an uptick in acts performing there during the summer the last few years too at the Stone Pony Summer Stage. That probably helps a bunch as well.

I saw Against Me! play a 400 cap venue in 2014 during the TDB tour and I can confirm it was an insane time. They truly rule live
