Silent Planet have a US tour lined up for the fall. Confirmed places so far are Minnesota, Baltomore, and Florida. I'd imagine it's an A market tour since their summer one is mainly B/C markets.

Not aware of anyone directly contacting them, but enough people and bands have been talking about it that they know.

 

Ugh what a creep. This is shitty; everyone I've ever talked to that works at Analog was nice as shit (I've never met this guy, obviously).

 

I hope this brings a lot more bands to bunk, Mississippi, Doug fir, etc

 

Edit: holy shit I do know that guy. I mean not personally but I saw him around there all the time.

 

Those venues are all better, but also 21+ which is the real killer here. Analog was the best option for a smaller AA show. Losing that is gonna hurt the scene until another place steps up to take over.

 

Twilight? It’s not as big as the upstairs but could cover the smaller shows.

 

I've been under the impression that Twilight was 21+. My band was literally announcing a show at Analog today so we're scrambling to find someplace. Probably gonna get stuck at Annares or Tardis

I love the idea of that venue very much, but in my experience the bookers are flakey and that awakebutstillinbed show isn't happening there anymore. That show is at The Geodesic Art Collective, which is the first I've heard of it.

 

Is Peter's Room in the Roseland an option? I know for a fact they've had a couple of smaller/local all ages hip hop shows there.

Edit: Also if you aren't dead set on Portland, I've seen a few bands book shows at Shotski's in Salem.

 

I mean, I live in Salem. But this was a Portland show from the beginning and will stay that way since it's a local bill.
