I feel like these tours pop up in metalcore after a band loses a lot of steam, so they just load the bill to try to fill up the rooms they’re playing. The most recent bands I can think of that had more than 3 openers were wcar and mmf and they both aren’t nearly as popular as they were a few years ago

Hopefully WCAR and LMTF get added to that Attila tour but I will be at the Tampa date regardless.

It says special guests TBA, And the Lexington date that leaked had them both, So I’m hopeful

Same. Does the WCAR/MMI/LMTF tour conflict with any of these dates if so they will probably get added after that tour is done.

Friend showed me a screenshot of the vocalist of LMTF saying they had to drop the tour (the attila tour)

7 bands is a lot of bands unless it's being marketed as a festival. I just bought tickets to Chaos and Carnage which is 7 bands but it's also been marketed as a festival similar to Summer Slaughter so I'm ok with it. Even 6 is a little overkill.

yeah I heard LMTF had to drop, as well. so maybe it's Attila, Suicide Silence, WCAR, Spite, Cyf?

I could see it being marked as a mini fest. I remember when Attila and Chealsea Grin did that mini spring festival the Sick Tour with like 7 bands.

I wonder why I hope it’s not true and they are still on.

How are any of those bands even going to make money on that tour? Tickets are $22 here for a 400 cap venue here.

Well I mean, they're not making money off record sales/streaming...

at least at that level touring really doesn't do that much. i mean, they're making money, but it's barely a living wage or anything. even with 22 dollar tickets at a 400 cap, that's not even 10k in tickets. venue takes probably 30% from the door, plus booking agent fees, managers, splitting for members...there's really not that much

I think that's why bands were playing as many DIY shows as they could on tour a few years ago, probably much cheaper to play some hip basement show where everyone loves you than in some random venue where they book you cause they want $

altpress is problematic as hell as they continue endorsing abusive artists and are hypocritical about doing good things in the scene. fuck 'em

See, I had no idea cause it's been maybe 7yrs since I've stopped to read one but that makes sense. I know someone who works for them, for like 8yrs now and they only care about what's popular, problematic or not. They'll help promote them. Partially, I think it's desperation to keep the magazine relevant but I think it's much easier to not put out a publication at all then to sell garbage.

Not saying a 900 cap at that price will pull at all, But they could fill bigger rooms at that same price pretty much. Not that it would help if they played a 2100 at the palladium against the paradise. But it will be cool to see them in that intimate setting, Trying hard for barrier
