are we still lucky to be here? Prestigious

Power Trip are a possibility, but I'm not sure they'd be on it...they go against the traditional death metal/deathcore vibe that the tour traditionally has. Anything is possible though, I suppose.

I mean Betraying the Martyrs was on it last year so anything is possible

Feel like Code Orange are a strong possibility too

I was honestly thinking the same thing. It would be smart for Summer Slaughter to branch out a little bit and the hype behind Code Orange would help a lot.

They couldn't afford Lamb of God.

    The Real Dirty Dan.

I didn’t think it was likely they could. Just ruling out metal bands I could see headlining a tour like this.

Can also rule out DEP since they broke up and probably Decapitated given the recent trial they had here. Not even sure if they’ll be able to return to the states...

Is Carcass too much of a long shot? I would say Whitechapel but they are extensively touring the US this summer right before SS starts

Cannibal Corpse was the headliner 2 years ago. I know there's not too many headliner options, but would they really do it again so soon?

Carcass isn't a longshot, but I don't think they'll be back doing a full tour of North America until their new album comes out. Plus they've got some festival dates booked in Europe during the summer that might be problematic for scheduling.

To reiterate: Cannibal Corpse isn't doing it this year unless the parameters around the tour have changed (shortened tour, different time frame, etc.)

    The intrusive whisper fascinates me

FYF Fest’s lineup is being rumored to be announced tomorrow. Incredibly interested to see what the lineup will be

Morbid Angel is still a possibility IMO. Dillinger did a spring tour in the US in 2013 and then did slaughter that summer, so I wouldn't rule MA out yet.

As far as support acts go, Nile, Thy Art Is Murder, and Cattle Decapitation seem likely. I would say The Faceless since its the 20th anniversary of Planetary Duality, but I doubt it since Michael Keene is an absolute trainwreck now.

I wouldn’t rule out another Born of Osiris, After The Burial, Veil of Maya run, those bands together always draw well. The year they were all suppose to be support for Arch Enemy did pretty well and at my date everyone left after BOO.

I didn't know when Morbid Angel's spring tour ended; could seem them as a headliner.

I'd also love Rivers of Nihil and Fit For An Autopsy to be on. Both released teriffic albums recently and could expose them to a bigger audience.

BOO and VOM are both doing spring tours that hit smaller markets, and ATB hasn't tour much at all recently. Wouldn't surprise at all if any of them played.

ATB is taking the year off to record a new album. BoO and VoM are both likely though. Especially BoO since they apparently just got done recording their new album. Enterprise Earth wouldn't be surprising too since they'll probably be releasing something soon based off of the new single they released.

If not Slaughter I could see them on the rumored return of All Stars, though I think we will see at least one of them since there's usually at least a few Sumerian artists on there somewhere.

This isn’t tour related but does anyone have suggestions for a decent beginner electric guitar? I have some experience with acoustic but it seems different.

Get a Squire. Many available, very affordable, and they’re very easy to upgrade.

    Depends on music style

A $160-$250 Epiphone is a solid high quality guitar that will last your whole music career (unless you do something stupid like swing it around your neck before you notice your strap locks snapped, like I did)

Squiers have worse playing quality per value imo, but they can sound more versatille and lively if you set them up correctly
