Swivel iPads at every venue exit door

 

As an aside, those swivel ipads with tipping have been causing a far amount of ruckus in general walks of life. I think the tipping feature is a default setting and people just set them up without realizing it.

 

TBH, I think it says more about Coachella and its audience than it does the Stone Roses.

 

I'm confused. If the merch guy is making 30k in tips, you'd think the band would be making even more on the actual merch itself

 

My guess is that they reinvest the profit from merch back into making new merch.

 

That's their business decision though. Acting like the band is starving while the merch guy is getting rich is insane.

And I was right (IMO) - support is a lot better than Code Orange with Soul Blind, Spy, and Teenage Wrist.

 

why'd you leave out Gridiron? not a fan?

 

I see a lot of general Code Orange revulsion on boards/reddit and I don't really understand why?

 

Broadside has got to have better touring opportunities than an Our Last Night covers tour

Yeah that OLN tour is most likely gonna do well and they're gonna brag on social media about their sold out crowds that they just played to with other people's music

 

Band rules, a lot of people just don’t like seeing heavy bands evolve. It’s silly

I have no problem with heavy bands evolving. My issue with Code Orange is that they've gotten progressively more terrible with each release IMO. Everything through the first full length is great.

 

I remember they got a lot of praise when they released Forever, since then it definetly seems people have turn their backs on them.

I saw them at Riot Fest this year and they were amazing!

 

Wasn’t referring to you, just whiners on reddit etc. I like the new stuff a lot, but to each their own

 

I haven't listened to the new record in its entirety yet, but I'm ride or die for Code Orange. Insanely good live, really fun theatrics, love their crossover with wrestling, a lot of energy. I've loved them since 2011 and all of their full lengths have been awesome. Not to mention they never abandoned their ties to OG hardcore stuff and take out great bands on their headliners - I think they're sick as hell and a really valuable part of the community.

 

They are saying they're gonna cover OLN songs too now lol

 

That's fair. Gridiron would have been the draw for me on that bill (but I've seen Spy and Teenage Wrist before)

 

I thought Gridiron was meh when I listened to their record but their set at Tied Down was so sick.

 

I’ll take a touring cover band ten out of ten times over Emo Nite Brooklyn or whatever. No shame in playing other people’s music.
