Wonder if this sets them up for any holiday radio shows? Kinda hoping they’ll do one in Chicago

ARe there still holiday radio shows in 2023? Thought the pandemic might have put the death knell on those.

I think so. I know a few came back last year

Possible! I’m guessing this disqualifies them for KROQ’s AAC

Honestly had never even heard of either Zach Bryan or Noah Kahan until like, 3 weeks ago. Been obsessed with ZB since. Haven't really dug into Noah's music much yet, but plan to soon.

And this is coming from someone who typically does not like that kind of music.

I don't think KROQ will honestly be a station for much longer

It’s wild seeing the impact of TikTok on music lately. An artist can legit have one TikTok hit and be headlining arenas. Good for Noah!

Yeah. Though the fall off is gonna be hard if they can't maintain the social presence.

I literally never heard of Noah Kahan until this week. It trips me out when I see people I’ve never heard of play arenas/stadiums. I feel old and out of touch lol

I only know of Noah Kahan because I take a radio survey for Active and Alternative Rock formats every week and so I hear every song that gets in the top 30 on those formats. And that's how I heard his two singles. Stick Season and now the new one, Dial Drunk with Post Malone.

Theses dates put them out for twisted Christmas based on where it’s been past years in December

Gotta shout these guys out as this was one of my favorite albums of the year.

First album was much better but new one is still great too. Seen these guys five times in the past year, highly recommend seeing them.

I think I like the newer one better but both are great. THey sold out the 3k-capacity T5 here in NYC in the spring so glad to see them doing well.

Got into a wormhole of YouTube docs last night and ended up watching one on U2’s ZooTV tour…if you’re a tour production geek like me, didn’t realize that was the first tour to ever utilize a B-stage or to feature video screens.

It’s wild to see how far production is come, still waiting for that next artist to do something groundbreaking. Last holy shit moment was probably Kanye’s Saint Pablo tour with the massive floating stage.

First tour to utilize video screens? I would have thought Michael Jackson's "Bad" tour in 1987-88 would have done that but wild that was the first. Must have been an amazing thing at the time to go to. The opener list of that tour is absurd in retrospect: Pearl Jam, Pixies, Primus, Bjork, PJ Harvey and more all at various dates.

Anyone going to John Mayer tonight in CA at The Wiltern, Ed Sheeran has just been added as the opener lol
