    Exactly:

Like I'd believe this was a real song by them and not something I wrote in 10 seconds.

A.C.A.B by Stray From The Path
All cops are bastards, if you're black, they gonna blast ya
If you're white and you're defending, then I say you're offending
Silver spoon in your mouth? then time for lights out!
See a nazi on the street? Make him spit out his teeth!

Lol man those lyrics are gold. It’s like the dumbed down mall metalcore version of RATM.

I mean I too also hate Stray as well, both musically and personally. When I worked for venues they were honestly some of the worst people I ever came across.

these big city residencies suck, looks like only NY and LA dates for the rest of the year. Guess I’ll just hope he does some US festival shows next year.

Not if you live in said city! I don't really care about Fred Again but I wish more acts would do NYC residencies.

He’s playing Lolla in August too! I realize that’s not helpful for most people, but still

in retrospect it sounds dumb, but from like 2010 to 2014ish. I worked local venues, just being a runner, setting up venues, unboxing merch, counting merch, etc. Basically whatever anyone needed I was on it…til I needed a real job.

Most people were very very cool, but worked a tour and stray were opening. I’m a big hockey fan and being from Philly, a huge flyers fan. While the Stray guys are huge rangers fans, so literally they just hammered me about it all day, every time I walked in a room, flyers fans are Pussies, don’t come to New York you”lol get beat, etc. They tried messing me up when counting merch, after that they would put messages on my Fb wall about being a flyers fan, derogatory. It def wasn’t in jest or anything. They also just came off as very entitled, several members of the band complained about everything. Like that whole thing last year about bands playing to recorded kick drums or whatever. In my experience that is how that band is with everything. Just never really gave their music that I wasn’t totally stoked on a chance after that.

I told chatgpt to write a stray from the path song about privileged white guys who think they’re rage against the machine and act like they’re oppressed:

    (Verse 1)
Screaming on the stage, with your daddy's trust fund,
Thinking you're rebels, but you're just playing pretend.
Copying the legends, the ones who fought for change,
But your words ring hollow, like a broken record's refrain.

    (Pre-Chorus)
You dream of being legends, icons of the fight,
But you're just privileged posers, hiding in plain sight.
Riding on their coattails, trying to find your place,
But you'll never match their passion, their fire, their grace.

    (Chorus)
Hey, privileged white boys, chasing a dream,
Wishing you were Rage Against the Machine.
But your charade won't fool us, we see through the act,
You're just playing dress-up, a parody of the facts.

    (Verse 2)
You wear your Che Guevara shirts, like it's a fashion trend,
But do you even know what he truly represents?
His struggle was real, the fight for the oppressed,
While you sip champagne, claiming to be repressed.

    (Bridge)
You'll never understand the weight of true pain,
Your privilege shields you from life's harshest rain.
You're just a bunch of wannabes, lost in your own game,
While the world outside is burning in flames.

    (Chorus)
Hey, privileged white boys, chasing a dream,
Wishing you were Rage Against the Machine.
But your charade won't fool us, we see through the act,
You're just playing dress-up, a parody of the facts.

    (Outro)
So step off the stage, leave the mic behind,
If you truly want change, it's time to redefine.
Find your own voice, speak up for what is right,
But don't appropriate struggles, it's time to see the light.

150-400 cap venues for this is pretty insane, hopefully i can secure a nashville

    The intrusive whisper fascinates me

I know it kinda makes sense since he lives in Miami, but Iggy Pop being on that lineup is so weird to me

For the record, I’d absolutely go to that tour if it were coming to Cleveland. Mainly for Hot Mulligan.

I know we're moving a million miles a minute in this thread but the disparity of draw for Billy Talent between the US and Canada is WILD. I believe they play the Air Canada Centre in Toronto (or whatever that's branded these days) yet are still stuck playing the same 600-capacity club in NYC.

Yep, going to their show at Budwesier Stage (17K cap) next month in Toronto, then hitting up their Buffalo (88 miles south of Toronto) show at a 900 person venue this fall
