yellowcard, mest, gaslight anthem, alkaline trio, face to face, american football, and spaced is enough to make me really consider going.

This fest is so much of what I want: Riot Fest, but smaller.

I think I've signed up for The 1975 mailing list at least 10-15 times. Do they purge their list before each tour announcement?

Talked to Edsel a while back and said he wanted to do another leg of that tour they did earlier this year

saw turnover last night and it was pretty cool. It felt like they played for a solid hour and a half on a 3 band tour so that was dope. New stuff was cool but man I was vibing way too hard to peripheral vision and good nature stuff. The crowd went crazy for those songs.

As a person who has lived in Nashville for the last 10 years, I always joke that Nashville is where the early 2000’s went to retire.

Also SHAMELESS PLUG: if you want to hear interviews with a lot of those people, I did them 5-7 years ago with oral histories of Relient k, mae and Copeland among others on The Local Wave Podcast

I had no idea Joyce Manor was so big in SoCal. They played Long Beach Arena last year which is a place that like Green Day has headlined on the American Idiot tour in 04.

I mean 8 out of the 10 top songs on spotify are that album and that rarely happens, normally its a shuffle, especially with the new stuff. I said this in another thread, and I'm glad you enjoyed, but my one time seeing them live was not a good experience. So sleepy and boring, and the crowd was just subdued and quiet even for the older stuff. I love their CD stuff and would give them another go but it was definitely one of the oddest and sleepiest shows ive been to.

They're big down here. Did two sold-out nights at the Palladium a few years back. They’re South Bay heroes

Turnover's what you make it live. I've never failed to find people to mosh around with on older songs. Newer songs are fine, just not that exciting live.

yeah I feel I got lucky when the crowd was just vibing to the new stuff but then when the older stuff came on, people went nuts. It also helped the last time they came here was at least like 8+ years so I’m sure people were just excited to see them back in my town.

Those have been my exact experience with Turnover shows. 2013-2018 were active crowds but once they dropped Altogether, their shows are sleepy haha

  23. I really liked Turnover as a pop punk band (seeing them play "Sasha" in a basement is one of my favorite memories of that era), but they totally lost me at Magnolia. I finally came around on them again with Altogether, but I still haven't seen them live in over a decade.

Yeah saw them on Good Nature and it was a SNOOOOOOOOOOOOZER

  25. I saw them live on the Peripheral Visions tour, and people were climbing all over each other to sing the last chorus of "cutting my fingers off" like it was a hardcore, which was interesting to witness haha.
