The only time I've seen Foo Fighters they opened with Everlong, they closed with Best Of You

 

Members of Placebo are gonna be so pissed when they show up to that fest and see who they're sharing a bill with. I suppose it's not that different from, say, Rock Am Ring in Germany but they are the only band on that bill aside from She Wants Revenge (who I saw them co-headline with in 2006) that has also played Coachella and other more high-brow fests.

 

Speaking of nu metal nostalgia...how have Deftones NOT played Coachella yet?

 

Cleveland Yellowcard should have been a Jacobs show, but I assume it's a full Live Nation tour. Jacob's schedule for the summer is super weak. Going to Blossom for this then the following week for FOB/ BMTH in a span of 8 days sounds terrible. Both on week nights.

 

Is this part of a larger tour? Because if so, YIKES. (the yikes being that ATL is headlining something, with me just being sad that mayday parade is touring with them; also im dumb and posted this in the wrong thread at first happy tuesday)

The most fascinating Spotify metric I learned about is the follower to listener ratio. Apparently to have a decent fan base, you need a 1/4 follower to monthly listener ratio or 25% (this percentage I have coined the “Real Fan Index” or RFI). You can see followers on the Spotify web browser.

all time low: 2.8m followers to 7m monthly listeners OR 40% RFI which indicates that they have a decently dedicated fan base. So I don’t think they will do that bad in tour

 

Yeah, monthly listeners are not a great stat. Because this Beach Weather band has 10M monthly listeners from that one song but would struggle to fill like 750-cap rooms if they headlined.

 

they got 10m ML, but only 300,000 followers. That’s a 3% RFI which is horrendous if you want to play shows

 

This is really interesting stuff. Yellowcard is right near that 40% which also seems to bode well for their upcoming tour. Story of the Year at 25%, Mayday Parade is exceptionally high at 60%.

 

Lovelytheband is bringing Beach Weather as their opener and it's playing HOB sized venues.

 

The craziest one of a current artist so far is Billie Eilish who has almost 150% RFI
