The fact that the only lawn show I’ve ever been to (Blink/Weezer) cost $30 after fees and would cost 6-7 times the price now is insane. Not to mention that for some of these tours bots are artificially jacking up the price/perceived demand so it’s hard to determine if it’s even fair market value for these tickets. It’s such a BS system.

 

I think the most annoying thing is the fact that so consistently now, mid to large scale acts who have not gained an ounce of popularity in the last half decade or so (and may have actually seen it decline) are able to increase their average prices by 200%-300%, well above the cost of general inflation, and still sell just fine. All the while, per ticket fees have also disproportionately rose, meaning the cost to the consumer winds up inflating even beyond the already double or triple face price.

And they can't just attribute it to rising costs, because smaller bands running club/theater tours are largely just charging what they always did.

 

Yep. For me personally I just can’t get behind the cost of these huge tours. Like I’d love to see Paramore, but not for $200-300 a ticket for the worst seats. I’d much rather go to 5-10 club shows for that price.

 

How is everyone's FOB shows selling? Interesting that LA got a second show added....NYC seems to be the smallest venue on the tour and there's still plenty of tickets available 6 hours after the general on sale. Upper deck is priced at $95 after fees, which doesnt seem too bad compared to other dates.

 

Toronto is probably 90% sold out minus lawn, and lawn tickets are now $80+ lol

 

Michigan 100% sold out before the public on-sale.

 

San Diego has tons of seats, lawn is $54 after fees, or $35 each in a pack of 4

 

Thrice show is sold out already

I wonder if the smaller venue sizes was intentional for this tour or if we'll see venue upgrades

 

Irritating that they did the little GA Pit sliver vs the whole floor. No idea why, say, The Lumineers are content with a full GA floor at Forest Hills whereas Fall Out Boy/BMTH want to have seats.

YES. And for the love of god put it back on streaming too. Or even better press it to vinyl! I still have my CD copy but I dont have anything to play it on lol

 

I’m sure it has something to do w making more money haha…I’m so glad that show at Forest Hills is selling poorly with those ticket prices…I’ll be hoping for a drop off on the second hand market when the show gets closer

 

Doesn't appear to be selling poorly as most of the tickets are AXS premium/resale but, yeah, we'll see.

Yeah I thought it was weird how it's not on any streaming service. Thankfully I ripped it years ago and Apple MusicMatch is still a thing as I somehow still have it in my library.

Did I just get extremely lucky for FOB that tickets for my show were like entirely reasonable? At least at the time I bought them. Pretty close to the stage for $80

lol, for the Houston date this section is only VIP packages and platinum. Those VIP’s at the top of the section were regular seats just the other day
