Wow, Live is billed 2nd on Friday. I know it's a big reunion with Ed but will that draw a lot of people?

they said their next album will go back to the more heavier side of things, and that they will be experimenting more with heavier aspects for the next album. i'm expecting a new album in the fall already. i'm not opposed to them doing a 5 year life cycles tour, honestly. there are songs that are seriously underrated on that album, Belong, Hidden Lakes are 2 of my absolute favorites.

I can see one for deceiver as a 10 year, for sure.

Sad, but true. Cant necessarily blame them, and I think reunion tours are a lot of fun, but 5 years is not enough to justify it.

I couldn't disagree more with the "no 5 year album tours!!"

I think bands should do full albums far more often than they do. Even without it being an X year celebration. Just tour your most popular albums in full, regularly, at random.

That way, everyone gets to see their favorite non-single songs at some point. That seems a lot more reasonable and exciting and desirable than the same list of singles without much variation tour after tour after tour.

I'd like to chime in on the whole 5 year tours being too soon, but I seriously lost my shit when TDWP toured Zombie in full.

Let's hold our breath until we disappear

I like this approach more too. I have seen Less Than Jake and Alkaline Trio randomly play a full album, and it's awesome.

I think it's really cool when bands tour their new albums in full. I wouldn't even have as much problem with just randomly touring an album in full. But I guess it's like the 5 year anniversary thing - if they're selling it like that, it bothers me a little more. It just seems premature to have this big nostalgic celebration. If you just say hey you know we're going to play this album this tour, idk I guess that's ok. But it does rub me a little wrong just because I worry it would hinder a band from moving forward and to just focus on their most successful album. For bands that I don't keep up with, sure it'd be nice. But, for example, I see Circa Survive tomorrow, and while I love On Letting Go, I actually prefer (or at least equally enjoy) some of their later stuff, so really it's not the Circa Survive set I would ideally like. I also think that it's cooler if it's truly random - i.e. Bayside playing all of S/T unannounced at Riot Fest, or even pre-announced but a one-off (Saves the Day playing Stay What You Are at Firefly). So the short version I guess is it kind of depends on how much you like a band, and what your opinion of their individual albums are.

I'd be so down for that FTSK tour if it ever came east coast. Hard to believe UAM is 10 years old.

Nope. Brian started a new band called Comunion. It's a teaser for the music video they did.

I believe half of Major League is now in Have Mercy or at least the drummer did.
