To those that went to So What?! What were your favorite sets?

Big K.R.I.T. was easily my favorite. Callous Daoboys, Evergreen Terrace and Misery Signals were also dope. The Devil Wears Prada was the most disappointing tbh.

Did anyone see A Skylit Drive at So What? If so, how were they?

The Maine, Underoath, Lorna Shore, 100 Gecs, Knocked Loose, and Alexisonfire were all great! Glimmers, Cane Hill, and Lolo were all nice surprises too!

Charlotte Sands, The Maine, and Grayscale for me.

What exactly happened with Chase Atlantic? My niece went up to watch them while I was watching Grayscale and she said they barely got through 2 songs and couldn’t play anymore.

Seeing a lot of stuff on twitter of the bands not being happy with so what! Talks of poor catering, no water for bands, inconsistent and changing merch cuts.

I was at the Hot Topic stage almost all day and everyone I watched had some form of a technical issue.

My big issue was with the free water. Luckily the Hot Topic stage was by the indoor water fountains but a lot of those weren’t working and I never found the free water the fest was supposed to have.

Security catching crowd surfers was a joke. During Grayscale, Gunz was catching more of them than security was. Although surfing at that stage being on the hill was kinda dangerous imo.

FWIW, I never went to the Hot Topic stage. I wasn't ever able to find the "hydration stations" and some of the fountains near the front entrance weren't working, but near the Monster Energy stage, I was able to get free water from the fountains all day. I didn't see a ton of crowd surfing, but the security seemed to be handling it okay at the Monster, Flo's Backyard, Stay Lit and Revolver stages.

The food trucks seemed to have decent looking food, but the lines were too long, and the stadium's food was pretty abysmal, so if that's where the artists' catering came from, that sucks. Also, glad I didn't spring for VIP either, because idk if the food included in that would have been the same, and I think the only other real perks were So What merch, VIP viewing areas (which I never had any problems getting close for any set, and still having room to breathe) and air conditioned bathrooms, which I guess could be nice, but I'm there to see bands, not sit in the bathroom.

There were a handful of bands the dropped and it was never addressed which I found odd.
My friends and I planned to go to last night’s after party but early on in the day, those who pre-bought tickets for it got an email saying it was canceled and no reason was given. I just found that weird since it was the one they were doing for charity.

Re: SoWhat!? - Several bands complained about security not picking up crowd surfers, at least at the Hot Topic stage. They need to take care of that next year.

I did see a repost from the So What discord that said this was the 3rd security team they had to hire and were bringing in local help. It was like the staff wasn’t prepared for the crowds.

Yeah, they have a lot to work through before next year. I had a lot of fun, but the issues were ever-present. For what it's worth about water though, I went to the water fountains on the very left side of the festival grounds where there was always no lines. I also brought a backpack bladder too, so that might be part of it.
