I just saw him with them at Furnace Fest a few months ago! I guess a full tour of 2 sets would be tough on his vocals?

 

He is on the same tour with his other band Dead American. 2 sets can be a bit much, especially when everyone is trying to get minimal exposure with COVID and all, especially when one of the bands is headlining. They mentioned he will join them on stage for a song or two on some dates.

He was amazing on that show

 

They potentially can't announce Sad Summer until this tour is done because of radius clauses right? In 2019 they announced it in mid-March, 2020 it was announced in late February. This year it wouldn't be until late April

 

Unless they aren't on Sad Summer this year. I wouldn't expect them to do it three years in a row. I would think Mayday Parade would be doing it instead since they didn't last year.

 

On one hand it is The Maine's festival, but on the other they are hitting some A markets on the XOXO tour. It could really go either way.

Somewhat unrelated but I fully expect to see State Champs on Sad Summer this year.

 

Mayday Parade's manager is a partner in SSF.

 

I'm not sure which way I lean on whether the Maine would play it or not, but I could see SSF looking something like: Taking Back Sunday, Neck Deep, Mayday Parade, The Maine, The Summer Set, Meet Me @ the Altar, 3oh!3

TBS mostly based on the new song with the Maine and trying to think of someone with a bigger draw

 

Yeah, from what I heard, The Maine isn't on Sad Summer this year.

 

Angels and Airwaves cancelled their UK/EU dates.

 

Is the issue with touring UK/Europe that there are just too many differing restrictions/rules that it makes no sense to go there if you're from US/Canada? Feel like the US is really the only place you can sustain a tour at this point.

 

They are opening a new venue at a Morton Salt complex in Chicago and I firmly believe Jawbreaker should be the first band to play in there, but with 4 shows in April I dont think thats going to happen

 

They should be legally required to have Jawbreaker as the first show back

 

Honestly pretty relieved -- my tickets for Courtney tomorrow at Radio City haven't sold and I'd be pretty uncomfortable attending.

 

COVID or no COVID that was an ambitious booking.

Damn. After two plus years of delays… I hope Anthony is okay and gets better. Very sad to see that and I feel for him as it hasn’t been easy for anyone.

I was really excited to see Tigers Jaw. Hope they announce a tour soon

 

I get why artists do Patreon and I think it’s great if they earn extra income and provide exclusive stuff to members. But the whole “you get news before everyone else” thing is so odd. Like, you know the moment the news goes up, fans are just gonna leak it to social media lol
