Very stoked for Wolf Alice.

 

I know it isn't a headlining thing but weird to see Korn only play one song from their album out in three days

 

Just saw IDKHow and its one of the few concert where I've seen 99% of the audience wearing masks all the time (very similar to Julien Baker or Spanish Love Songs crowds)

 

I wish people stopped booking Diplo everywhere. Did Skrillex die or something?

 

He made a decision to remove himself from live shows, for the most part. He has become much more involved in pop/Top 40 leaning production over the last couple years.

I’ve been trying to get into Spanish Love Songs before TWY tour but Jesus Christ. This is so depressing. Can’t get into it.

That’s the draw for me. Life is depressing, and they’re the perfect soundtrack for when it feels super bleak. I purposely avoid listening to them when I’m feeling positive, but sometimes you just need something to wallow in your misery to.

 

I think if it they weren’t slotted between Origami Angel and TWY I could probably enjoy it. As it is, that just seems like it’ll be a bit of whiplash.

 

Yeah, they really punch where it hurts. I got into them by listening to their album Schamltz, someone in here used to have the cover artwork as their profile pic and caught my attention

 

Spanish Love Songs are fucking incredible. I'll hear no slander.

 

For me SLS is uplifting because the lyrics are just so easy to relate to and it’s comforting to know people struggle with the same shit that you do. Also they write banger after banger so it’s hard to not listen to their albums in whole.

I actually got into them about a month ago and got the ticket for the TWY just to see them. The lyrics are incredibly depressing, it's pretty much emo for millennials.

 

I decided to sell my tickets to that show. Still not quite comfortable going to a large club show. I also tried listening to those TWY records and they just don’t hit the same anymore. I’ve heard most of them live as well. Getting older sucks.

 

I'm a jaded motherfucker but when he sings "It can't be this bleak forever, have you seen me lately?" that just cuts every time.

Side note, wonder if "Have you seen me lately" is a slight nod to the Counting Crows song.

 

I’m honestly surprised they didn’t delay the tour yet, feels weird that I’m going to my first indoor show in two years this week

Yeah I need to give Spanish Love Songs another shot. A song of theirs was on this Spotify playlist I was listening to a year back and I really dug it. Kinda felt like a pop punk Mountain Goats. I then listened to more of their stuff, but it just didn’t click with me… Maybe it just didn’t hit right the first time
