Honestly, I have been to 3 concerts now (including beartooth), and there has been about 5-10% of the people max wearing masks. I think if you want to go to concerts, it's just going to be the way it is, and you're either comfortable with it or not. Only 1 of them was a vax/neg test check to, but that's changing. For whatever odd reasons, the venues had a grace period but will be checking going forward.

 

For Detroit it was:

Doors 530
Bearings 6-625
Just Friends 640-710
Four Year Strong 725-800
Real Friends 815-850
Champs 910-1030

Four Year Strong and Real Friends have been rotating their spots though.

 

Interesting, I’ve been to 7 shows so far and most of the crowd was masked at all but 2 of them. Also vax/negative only for all but those same 2.

 

NYC is now mostly vax only at shows but I have rarely seen people wearing masks indoors.

 

Tame Impala changed their venue for the Austin show and has added a houston date at a small venue

 

Did something happen to the Pure Noise tour? This just popped up

 

It seems these shows are during off days of the tour

 

I see they went on around 10 p.m., that's not that insane for a headliner, especially if they're playing a short set (which is to be expected considering they're touring off a 12-song album).

Hell, I just saw Bartees Strange last week, and he didn't go on until after 10.

I feel like a lot of people who don't go to shows much (obviously not speaking to anyone on this forum) think the door time, or start time is when the headliner is supposed to go on, and that's just obviously never the case.

 

According to Rolling Stone, the NYC set was just a “preview” of the tour, which is still in development.

Going on at 10 is fine. Having doors at 7, show 8 with no advertised opener meaning people are just standing around for 3 hours is not fine.

Yeah, Four Year Strong had a bigger reaction for sure. It definitely didn't help that Detroit's security was throwing out crowdsurfers though during their set until SC's TM talked to them.
