Weird that (I think) two bands have already confirmed they’re playing Desert Daze before DD’s lineup has been announced

Looks like Kanye may be headlining Rolling Loud next week. His new album is supposedly dropping Friday.

 

For anyone who has been to shows yet, are venues requiring vaccines/negative tests or is it just "anyone and everyone come on in1" at this point? This delta variant spread in the unvaccinated areas of the country is a bit concerning so I'm hoping venues are implementing some sort of mandatory vaccine policy.

 

One venue I went to a couple weeks ago required me to show my vaccine card to gain entranced but I went back to that same venue on Saturday and they said they didn’t need to see it anymore. Most venues here in Chicago seem like they aren’t requiring it, which is a bit concerning.

 

I went to see Kaskade at SoFi Stadium on Saturday, and no one was checked for negative COVID test or proof of vaccination. It could've happened via email, but I bought a resale ticket that day with no problem. 70,000 people showed up.

 

That's gonna be a party. The venue holds less than 2000 people.

 

I love seeing it’s a fully vaccinated show too. Damn this might be the only time I wish I was in Oklahoma haha

 

I honestly wish all shows were fully vaccinated shows at this point.

 

I went to a two-day outdoor metal festival with Korn and Rob Zombie this weekend and vaccination was encouraged but not required (I'm fully vaxxed, to clarify). 10-11K people each day, no masks, so I guess we'll see how cases look in a couple of weeks.

The (outdoor) festival I was at last weekend had on-site COVID vaccinations available, but I don't think there was anything required to be fully (or partially) vax'd. I was a volunteer with one of the groups there (not the festival itself) and I was told I could not volunteer with them unless I was fully vaccinated.

I'd feel way more comfortable at shows where you were required to be fully vax'd with proof now that the delta variant is taking hold across the country.
