Which there are problems, I could see it coming back with Kevin doing things right though.

Honestly for that to happen I think Kevin would have to turn the tour over to someone new. He's gone too far into "out of touch old man" territory in the last few years in terms of social issues and being aware of shitty people in the scene and giving them platforms. It would probably be successful regardless (if done in a smart manner, not like 2017), but it would be cool if it was done right.

2017 was a top 2 or 3 lineup of all the years I attended. I'm still bitter it bombed so badly in terms of ticket sales.

    The intrusive whisper fascinates me

2017 was a wild year. Watching Hatebreed play to like a half-filled crowd was surreal

The fact that they had to basically give tickets away to see GWAR, Hatebreed, CKY, Adolescents, Anti-Flag, Municipal Waste, Sick Of It All, Candiria in the same day blows my mind. In some circles those bands are all iconic.

Plus as far as younger bands go it had arguably the the three hottest bands in the scene at that time (I Prevail, Beartooth, Neck Deep) on the lineup so it's not like there were no draws for the youngest fans.

Probably will be a predictable lineup but tbh some of my favorite concert memories are from attending this fest so I'd probably go regardless.

I just wish for the fun of it they would announce who was on Mayhem and Summer Slaughter this year.

Best Coast is starting to cancel their rescheduled dates (such as the Boston show in Sept).

For the record just my opinion but getting people to pay for these live stream concerts seems just ridiculous to me. But I guess you gotta try something.

    Things have changed.

Artists deserve to be paid for their work.

not even close to the debate but ok.... I just think it’s a ridiculous concept that doesn’t sound to me like is something people want.

What is your argument? That artists shouldn't be charging for their live streams?

I think his point is that people WON'T pay for it, regardless of whether or not they SHOULD.

To which I disagree, I think people will pay to see new content from their favorite bands, I paid $3 to Chase Atlantic's livestream the other day, but idk if that's necessarily sustainable.

I’ll support with merch and album sales but I never even watch free live streams

yea I just am skeptical that this is something that will be a win, I just think it’s a weird direction to go that’s all. Has literally nothing to do with artists being paid for their work. Literally zero, not up for debate.

What else do you expect artists to do? This is their career and they aren’t really making money right now. People can only buy so much merch and albums.

Memories are nice, but that's all they are. Prestigious

People are clearly paying for it, otherwise it wouldn't keep happening? What are you trying to argue? Bands have no way to make income this year at this rate, good on them for doing live shows to try and make some money to manage and survive.

oh my god, I'm back on my bullshit Prestigious

Bands are literally out of work right now lmao do you think they deserve to starve to death or something

I welcome the live-streams. Tours obviously aren’t happening and will be the last to come back so I’m down to throw a few bucks towards some of my favorite artists. I know not everyone has the ability to do that but it’s just like a regular show, if you can’t pay you can’t go. I’d rather artists do this than not give us any content.

    Edit: Few not fuck lol
