We are still about 5 months away from that tour so I wouldn't worry about it yet.

I imagine the American dates of the Hella Mega Tour could still go on but I'm not sure about everything else

Hella Mega Europe dates definitely will get postponed. Considering US leg is a baseball stadium tour, it would have to be to be rescheduled for next year, and considering how few stadium tours there generally are (which are probably also controlled by Live Nation anyway), they don't necessarily have to rush to go public with backup dates like 16 months away. Can probably hold out longer than most tours on when to postpone.

If this is what we are escalating to...shows definitely aren't happening for a few more months.

One thing I’ll say on the stadium/ summer shed tours. There isn’t just gonna be a switch flicked where we go back to normal. It’s gonna be a process. Club tours will more than likely happen before stadiums. The fact that MLB’s contingency plan is to start in July without fans tells you all you need to know. Baseball isn’t gonna have empty stadiums nightly and Green Day be touring and playing to 30 thousand people. I was a skeptic at first when people talked about it but the more you see, and Japan’s near three month shut down at this point. All those big summer tours may be off this summer.

Honestly until we get an FDA approved treatment and/or a vaccine (which will take longer) I’m not even sure what ‘going back to normal’ means. Even if some of the restrictions cool off in the next few months, we will then again see another bump in confirmed cases.

We’re in this for the long haul.

Honestly, anything above 300 - 500 cap venues is getting cancelled, not postponed if this gets somewhat controlled by May. There's no way people are gonna want to pack arenas/stadiums for a long time.

I agree, the stadium tours for the most part can all just get postponed to next summer. I know the BB&T in Camden already said something to the affect on social media of being willing to to keep their amphitheater open til November if stuff needs to be moved. Not sure how I feel about being outside in New Jersey in November but we shall see. 5FDP already got moved to November 1st there.

i don’t think anything over 700 cap is happening this year

What’s the likelihood of somewhat bigger artists doing smaller intimate shows just so they can tour IF we get shows back that allow like 700-800 cap?

If they did this they'd have to do what Panic! At the Disco did and announce the show/venue it was at with onl 24-48 hours notice. I don't see arena type bands just casually announcing 2-3 month runs in 700-800 cap venues.

yea I could see bands like killswitch, or jimmy eat world, bands that play like 1k-3k playing smaller venues to get out there but not arena type bands.

I doubt they'd do it do to safety concerns, but they could do like week-long residencies in small rooms to try to control community spread.

Honestly though, I doubt the live entertainment industry will be able to thrive again until next year, even if things do get under control by summertime.

Yeah, was mostly referring to these kinds of bands. Nothing that could be in arenas/stadiums.

I'd be way more into seeing something in October/November cold vs July/August heat, but that's just me!
