I have a feeling everything in March and April will get pushed. May is a different story and a decision on may won’t be made till late April

For Illinois and Chicago effective immediately

All sporting events to either be cancelled or played with no fans until may 1st. events with 250 or more people canceled or postponed till may 1st. Events 1000 plus to be cancelled immediately. schools will stay open but will be watched day in and day out. High school sports will prolly be cancelled as well

Looks like we'll be looking at a pause in tour announcements as everyone's schedule gets switched around and we wait for the situation calms down.

  6. Tegan and Sara delaying their ticket sales for announced shows too.

My friends who work in booking/production/freelance photography/etc are pretty freaked out today.

I was planning on seeing Tiny Moving Parts / Capstan / Belmont / Jetty Bones in Palatine tomorrow. I really hope it won't get canceled.

    That seems.... not smart

  16. Doesn’t Metro hold like 1200 people? Was that show not sold out?

It’s sold out. I don’t understand what they are going to do since it sold out before the virus became a thing. The mayor said they will stop events above 1,000 people so this is a weird move.

Holocene in Portland staying open. Including for the Knuckle Puck show this Wednesday. It's a 350 cap venue and it looks like they'll just be temporarily going to 250 cap. Idk how the WCAR show and FFAK show (they said no show cancellations as of yet) will still go on here. Hawthorne and Bossonova are at least double the capacity ban.

It's safe to assume of the 1200 people who bought tickets, I'd wager only like 2/3rds actually show up

3eb/saves the day tour has been cancelled too

Yeah but they’re still technically holding an event where the capacity is over 1,000. Isn’t that banned?

    1,200

Spoke to them, they said it's still on. Maybe because they are outside of the city?

Edit : it's actually 750 for the music venue only, 1200 for the whole place (it has a bar outside)

It's not outside the city. In any event whether or not they go over 1000 capacity isn't really the point, it's that they're putting people at risk by having a large gathering where community spread can occur

*shrug* They'll probably just roll the dice and claim ignorance or something.

Yes and even if the crowd skews on the younger side (although when I go to the Metro there’s usually older people there) those people can easily transmit the virus to older folks like their parents or grandparents and they can get very sick from it.

I personally don’t think any form of entertainment is worth risking the health of potentially over a thousand people.
