Guys calm the fuck down. Health is more important than shows Jesus Christ. I know most of us aren’t at risk cause we’re young but think of your grandparents, aunts, uncles, parents, etc!

Let's hold our breath until we disappear

Everyone in here seems pretty calm

Exactly-- I'd rather have most shows cancelled than put my family at risk.

I agree people are calm but also I think at this point just assume any shows in the next month will probably be canceled.

everyone is calm. no one is fighting or anything and everyone is taking it serious but some of us have shows coming up that we really want to go to

Who gives a shit about shows when more important things are happening is more his point. Selfishly worrying about shows when you can expose vulnerable people to the virus by attending is disgusting.

personally if they really want to stop the spread and contain it as much as possible they should put the entire country in lockdown and shut everything down except essential things staying open for 2-3 weeks

I’m in Utah for a month attending a school to get a promotion while my family (wife, 2 kids age 2 and 7) are back home on Cape Cod... it wasn’t until today when I legit told my wife stock up on everything you can get. I have a rental car, if classes get cancelled/flights grounded I am 100% driving straight back only stopping during the 36 he drive (that’s non stop) to sleep/fuel up.

yeah thats the smart thing. id do the same thing in that situation

  15. Yup. But the US won’t do that until it gets out of hand here, I’d bet.

lol I’ve been meaning to reply to that... I only have Sunday’s off (working from 7-5) so it’s tricky but I appreciate that greatly.

Really doubt all shows will be cancelled. A lot of smaller venues have shows every night or nearly every night and their business and the staff depends on these shows to make money.

i was talking about this with someone tonight. all the small under 5-10k will all still go on but arena stadium shows might be cancelled. so shows at like Allstate, the uc, Wrigley, solider field, tinley could get cancelled or postponed

Honestly if more cities go the way of Seattle snd have full shutdowns of major gatherings, it might make more sense to cancel entire tours rather than go from town-to-town just to find out if the local government shuta it down day-of.

Seattle cancelled all meetings of 250 or more. Pretty much all shows are cancelled in the city. Anything can happen especially with the increased hysteria caused by all the sports cancellations.

Yes, and while it’s definitely important to keep the health and safety of show goers in mind, a lot of smaller bands depend on touring to not just make money but stay afloat in life. It’s a tough decision to make.

theres no way to know how bad it actually is here in the states with tests being in limited supply so it could in reality be Italy bad

Well Oregon now has a ban of 250 or more gatherings. There goes the entire NW.
