This happens a lot if people get comp tickets due to poor ticket sales.

For the record, I can’t stand when people go to shows and act belligerent and ruin it for others either, or at smaller shows whenpeople don’t leave the bar and talk and talk and talk over the band. That all should go without saying.

Again though...BIG difference between that and grabbing a few beers while peacefully enjoying the show like everyone else.

I usually have a beer or two at shows except for outdoor fest type setups. I know I wouldn't enjoy myself due to hydration issues.

 

Holy hell the judgement in this thread all stemming from a post that was obviously not serious to begin with

The whole “you people who drink in social situations where drinking is common are fucking ALCOHOLICS” was certainly a take, lol.

All the comments did was make me want to drink more beer at shows

 

Being serious the only time people drinking at shows annoys me is when they don't shut up during bands performances especially during acoustic sets. Besides that I'm all for having fun and could give two shits what people do.

 

Lots of drinking is what it takes to get through a knocked loose concert... anyone sober couldn’t enjoy it

Speaking of alcohol at concerts, yeah I hate it when drunk people are annoying and rude at concerts. Stupid people like that ruined my experience at the misfits concert in LA tonight

 

Yeah, drunk people have completely ruined shows for me a few times. One in particular was when I saw At The Drive-In at the shrine two years ago. Middle of their set, two drunk people got into a big, violent fight to the point where one was strangling the other. Wasn’t a fan

 

Tbh the starting line show I went to tonight made me wish that prohibition existed again

 

I just don't get how people can afford to get that belligerently drunk to where they ruin a show. Like holy shit, have most people seen how much they want for like one red solo cup of beer at most venues?
