it's tough to come back to, but a great record for sure

 

In a year of many good releases, this one is at the top for me.

 

I gotta listen to this one more.

 

I've listened to this in full maybe 5 times or so but I love it a lot

 

Was an easy top 5 for me

 

I may be in the minority here, but I enjoyed this more than Is Survived By.

 

That seems to be the majority

I actively dislike everything they've done previous to this album. This one just came out of nowhere and blew me away

 

Is survived by is still extremely good

 

This may end up usurping Cardinal as my AOTY.

 

Yeah I keep telling myself I need to go back to that one now that I liked this one so much. With all the great music released recently it's just hard to willingly spend time with something I know I didn't care for before haha. It's a short listen though so I'll make it happen soon and let ya know

 

This is, without a shadow of a doubt, the band's best work.

I like this more than ISB but I don't think it blows it away or anything, ISB is a fantastic record

It's been settled, I'm sticking this as my AOTY. Was a tough choice but I can't argue with the fact that it affected me like nothing else this year.

 

not a fan of their previous stuff, but I checked this out the past week on a whim, I'm going through a rough patch and this album is helping a bit... its quite cathartic to listen to while jogging in this cold weather.

 

The stretch in Rapture from 1:20-2:00 always kills me. It sounds so good. Reminds me of something the Appleseed Cast would have done 10 years ago.

 

The riff in Rapture is just fucking huge, and I love it.
